Hello Folks, Please see some photos of our refinishing work for the 575. For the HVAC panel, we stripe the sticky coating off, sand the panel, apply a special white, then our mar- resistant black coating and finish off with laser etching of the graphics all replicated 100% factory correct In fact, all of our graphics are laser etched to provide a permanent solution that will last the life of your car. As an exotic owner myself, I take great pride in refinishing parts to the highest quality standards in the business. My colleague Randy and I obsess over the details and Randy knocks it out of the part with the laser work and replication of the art work. Good Morning Everyone, I just wanted to share a couple close-ups of an HVAC panel we recently finished up. It is very gratifying to be putting the finishing touches on the parts for these fine automobiles. I strive to recreate these graphics as accurately as possible, and Dave is simply obsessed with every detail of the refinishing process. We've run into this a couple times and we have a perfect match paint for the silver that goes on the inner ring. In both cases, our customers wanted the chrome to be replaced by all silver so we did not explore the chrome option. However, if that is something you are looking for, we can investigate it further
Folks - thank you all for the nice complements - we greatly appreciate it and it's very gratifying when others appreciate our efforts ttn27 - I think we actually did your vents rings through one of the dealers...? Our turn around time is based on the backlog of work in our shop when the parts arrive and how much volume (size of the order) comes in. Please send me an email and we can discuss your specific needs dave.lelonek@**********.com Thank you.
Yes, you did my vents through the local dealership. As I remember, it did take quite a while close to 3-4 weeks. However, they turned out very nice but on one of the vents, one of the tabs in the back of was broken so the base of the vent did not sit tightly in the air vent opening. We actually had to source out another base of an older vent and switched the refinished vent face to that base. Otherwise, I would have to buy an entirely new vent.
Yes, when your vents came we were extremely busy as the spring flood gates had just opened. This is the first I've heard of broken parts. I'll look through our records as we do incoming indpection of all parts and we inspect again once we remove the sticky coating. The dealer did not mention any of this and please realize, most damage happens at disassembly from the car which we did not do. Further, some of the best folks removing parts still break tabs and such as the plastic is old and brittle. Rarely do we get an order in house without broken parts, especially tabs. EDIT: Yes, I looked up your order and the turn around was 3 weeks given the amount of work in house when yours came in. Our laser process also adds a few steps that takes additional time. Thank you for the business.
Hey Folks, Here is the assembled and completed HVAC panel along with all switches which get disassembled to be refinished. The illuminated white dial indicators get removed from the dials and refinished also so they illuminate as they should in the dark Thank you for looking.
