550 and 456 Transmissions... same?

    I have a question on the gearboxes of the 550 Maranello and the 456 (6 speed manual):

    Are these transmissions identical, the same with different internals, or completely different? Could anyone point me to a more technical review of both boxes?

    You can go to Ricambi's site and online parts catalogs and compare the parts to see if there are similarities and differences. Look in car diagrams. Welcome to Ferrari Chat.
