    I understand that Nissan Schrader valves work in the 550 A/C system. It was posted on here that Nissan Part Number 999AL-A5000 works. That part is no longer available. Does anyone have a better part number that's available?

    Nothing special, just a standard A/C Schrader valve. Parts houses sell them by the bag full.

    That's (eg a std valve) what I put in there a few days ago (low side) and when I try to open the valve using a quick disconnect (I tried two different ones) the plunger in the quick disconnect does not seem to travel far enough - so I can't get the valve to open. I was thinking maybe there was something special about the Schrader valve - guess not. Any clue as to what my issue is?

    My QD valves are adjustable for that reason.
