    Okay I've been swayed again ... I keep the 550 ... Sell outlaw 78 911 approx $45k, sell Maserati GT Coupe 6 spd manual staggered wheels fully serviced $35k, and 348ts due for belt service but great running red black $40k ... So now I've got $120k in the kitty ... What do I buy ?? F430, gated 360, California (no) , gallardo, r8 (no) ... Thoughts????

    I have seen a Gallardo offered for just 40% of what I sold my 575M F1 for. I would quite like to experience that V10 but the early G cabins are decidedly low-rent/generic Audi so not sure that I could ever fall in love with one.

    Your list is diverse, Write down what's the primary purpose you want in a car and run that against your list.
    Sounds simple but I've found it works, is it performance , investment, something loud visually.

    F430 gets my vote.

    360 modena manual transmission 2nd.

    599 with 30-35k miles can be had in that range as well.

    Phil,

    It kind of depends on what you're after. From that list you gave us, imho:

    - Potential appreciation? Gated Modena.
    - The joy of being an owner of a car currently in production and being a Ferrari customer on top of being an owner? California.
    - Somewhere in between? F430.

    If you don't have to have another Ferrari, I'd go with the Jaguar (F Type Roadster) or a Maserati: GREAT value for money.

    Hmmm ... Some good ideas ... I'd keep my 550 so I'd probably not add a 599 ... The Vantage is very cool ... I've got a 996 GT3 so no RS ... The Gallardo int is cheap looking and the body lines are probably too edgy for me ... The gated 360 is same running gear as my Maserati Coupe ... My interest in Jaguars ends with my e-type ... I think it's the Vantage or a f430 coupe ...

    The 599 is a complete other car to the 550.
    So it would make sense to get a 599 GTB in addition to the 550.

    1st choice: 599 GTB
    2nd choice : V12 Vantage

    What about a manual AM DBs? They seem like a good complimentary to the 550. I have been considering this myslef along with v12v. f430 would be my suggestion if you want mid v8 vs another front v12.

    I've yet to drive a 599 but styling hasn't grown on me yet.

    I just picked up a manual DB 9 after selling my gated F355 Berlinetta. It's incredibly fun to drive. Have in garage an F-1 360 and a 2014 Porsche Turbo. Still pondering a 550 or 575, but if I buy another car I think wife may kill me in my sleep.

    Get the 430.

    Out of all the cars I've had, the v12 Vantage is the one I disliked the most. Slow, too much sound deadening, and it just cannot put the power down. Looks and interior are nice but that's it.

    Gated 360,nice contrast to the 550,maybe a Spider for another dimension? Then just enjoy the driving and watch your investment's holding steady or might even appreciate :)
