How hard would it be to swap a manual transmission in?

Guessing pretty hard, probably need a lot more than a transmission, pedal and gear level.

Guessing a new ECU and some other precarious stuff. Also probably hard to find the parts?

...price difference is amazing, 575 F1 is half the price of a 550 6-speed. Heck, I'll take the 575 F1.

Steve- Several threads on that subject and two conversions we know about. There is even a video of someone testing one of those conversions. Not noted as a conversion in the video, naturally. Cost in the $30-50K range providing there is a donor 550 for some of the parts that are NLA from Ferrari.

550's can be had for not much more than that...not sure where you're getting the half price figure from?

You do not need to change the gearbox on any F1 to three pedal conversion. All F1 models shared their transaxle with the manual shifter versions.
