    Why? It should last, the detent is metal not plastic like the original.

    I've never heard of one of my repairs failing, Terry's was done in July of 2011, I've done about 80 more since then.

    I've even used this bonding compound on a #2 hybrid golf club and its still holding after three years.

    Another endorsement from across the pond. A great job done promptly.

    Now Dave, any chance of Skunkworks giving some thought to rear side window gaskets for a Maranello? Mine have broken up in our relatively benign climate and I'm not inclined to buy 2 new windows - the only fix available, from what I can see. Separate gaskets are not available at the moment.

    Thanks Dave, I am not worried about your permanent fix, but the remaining OEM parts surrounding the metal rod failing now...LOL

    Sadly John, it's not obvious that those gaskets have ever been available separately. You have to spring for the replacement glass...

    Guido, our plutonium powered 550, loves Dave's visor repair. Before the repair Guido was always half winking (sort of like vintage Sylvester Stallone). Yep, Dave walks on water. Period.

    Yep, the 550 visor that FerrariDriver fixed for me 2 1/2 years ago is still working like new.

    I don't think they ever have been available. It just seems a very expensive fix for a piece of semi-perished rubber!
