Is there a radiator drain plug on the 456GT? I must be blind because I can't find one on my car. In lieu of a radiator drain plug, what is the correct way to drain and flush 456GT cooling system?

    Wayne,

On 550's at least these plugs are now 15+ year old plastic. They are springy. Put slow deliberate constant unscrewing pressure on it to get it to yield and then it will back out. I have seen a couple guys unscrew them quickly like a steel screw and rip the head off leaving the threaded part in the radiator. It is easy to chase that out but no one needs to waste time doing that if you take a little care in removal.

Thanks for the tip Carl. Will be careful with the plastic plug.
