Does anyone know if Fender Shields were a factory-offered option on the 456 GT/GTA? I know they were on the 456M, but have received inconclusive advise as to the non-M.
I don't know if they were available OEM, but here is some info that might be useful: My understanding is that the shields on other Ferrari models are OEM only if the metal is indented so that the shield is countersunk a bit. You might look for that.
Thanks. However, I am not trying to determine if a particular car's shields are OEM. I want to know if you could order them. I have been told that until the M version came out, shields on the 456 were all aftermarket and/or applied at the dealer. I'm trying to determine if that is correct.

I guess I can't help you there. My 1995 456GT has shields, but I am pretty confident they are aftermarket.
