Zagato 550 Barchetta
Some time ago there were rumours about a Spider version of Zagato's 575 GTZ. These rumours were heavily denied and now we know for sure they were not true.
It is in fact a 550 Barchetta with 575 GTZ body style! Pictures of the car appeared in Zagato's latest book. Check: http://www.coachbuild.com/index.php?...d=163&Itemid=1

As a Barchetta owner, I'm sorry to say that I don't care for the lines on this Zagato-bodied car. At all. But, to each their own. Looks like a BMW Z8.

No crazy about the views, but the front-on is not bad. I do like the roof--wish I had one.

Nice Design, somebody can like somebody don't, as any consideration in the field of aestetics. i like it. Mr harada had done again his miracle keeping out a great design car looking to all past model of italian bodywork cars inline with the OEM tradition and staying on the 575-550 package.
Great and stunning result. Thank you again Nori. All other things a bugle. Probally images are stolen or illeagy leaked from sombody in next days going in heavy legal position since Coachbuilders and Automotive producers usually get this kind of projects under confidentially agreements till the final model (if any) will be on sale. Best regards nice images. |

The whole situation is crap. I knew about these cars back in 2007 and posted a photoshop which Zagato had me remove. I suspect that these cars are not approved by Ferrari hence all the litigation.
As far as I know two cars have been made. |

Ah! That photoshop was yours? I noticed on supercars dot net that the photoshop had been replaced by an ordinary Zagato 575 Coupe.

Does Zagato really think they can keep stuff like this under wraps? |

Also noticed this similar article on Autoblog: http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/29/z...550-gtz-barch/
I'd still rather have a regular Barchetta... |
