Thanks
Ken, send a PM to Ferraridriver heís the one with the fix. FBB did a great job and got us going, then Ferraridriver mastered it.
Both visorís very easy to remove, a couple phillips screws and itís out. Passenger side has wires for the lighted mirror. When this one comes down, carefully wiggle the wires and pull carefully. The wire seems to come out for longer than youíd think, finally a plug connector pops out and you carefully disconnect the plug. Part removed, now you can ship.

Thanks to FBB for dissecting the visor and Ferraridriver for his explanation. Without them I would never have attempted to fix my passenger visor. Knowing what it looked like inside made the job a breeze - no surprises . I pulled it apart just like they advised and repaired it better than new. It is surprising that Ferrari would design these visors to be so cheap and flimsy [ then again, they make plastic sticky switches ! ]. It was so obvious as to why the part failed where it did. Anyway, you guys are the best for offering such great photography in the repair process. A million thanks.

Did you not get my private message to you? I did Taz's visor

PM stands for Private Message, click on a user name, second line is "send a private message to" State your message and click "send"

Dave did mine as well, just recently, and it came out perfectly, despite being in awful shape due to a poor previous fix. Frank

Hi everyone. I have a '01 550 and came across this forum thread through a Google search. Very nice DIY guide! Thank you OP for taking the time to post it.

Ferrarridriver, can you please contact me? I can't PM you. Or at least I don't think I can. I'm part of various BMW forums and most you need a minimum of 5 posts to PM. Not sure if this forum is the same.

My email is soundeffected153 AT aol DOT com

Thanks!
