Hello, I finally brought home my Spider this weekend. Many thanks to all who answered my questions and offered insight into my configuration. -Grigio Silverstone/Iroko/Black Carpets -Grigio Scuro Stitching & Headrest Cavallinos -20 Diamond Finish Sport Wheels -LED leather steering wheel: no carbon, just a standard black wheel with the LED module covered with black grip finish. Since I didn't go for other carbon trim I wanted to keep the metal look of the center of the wheel. -Black tach [I have trouble reading yellow or red tachs] -Shields -Yellow Calipers -Internal & External Electrochromatic Mirrors & Homelink (the external mirrors electrically fold in) -Rear Parking Sensors & Camera -iPod (probably a waste as I don't expect to be listening to the stereo much) -Cruise Control (I wanted this to help me inadvertently not speed when on longer highway drives) I've already done a few mods - Hill Engineering footrest from Ricambi and nice black mats from Exoticare. (thanks guys). I also mounted a fire extinguisher in the passenger foot well and had Premier Mobile Group install clear bra over the front and side facing panels and a 9500ci (which saved me on the drive home from the shop by alerting me before I came up on 4 Calif Highway Patrol cars waiting to pull people over). Next mod will be to add a remote exhaust valve controller. While I have not pressed the car hard while I get used to it, the acceleration, noise and smell are intoxicating! Below are some initial pics - apologies in advance for the poor composition on my phone. +1 The steering wheel goes well with your spec. I really like the interior. You don't see iroko often but I think it looks really good especially with a darker exterior color. Congrats and enjoy in good health!
Really like the no carbon spec. Why didn't you opt for the Iroko upper dash? None the less a very nice spec. Love silverstone in combination with Iroko and the stitched horses.
Thanks everyone for the kind words. I still can't believe the car is finally in my garage. Hard-wired. If you look in the center console, you can see the display and the control module in a custom enclosure. While its easy to read & control while driving, I'm not sure I like having the display be so visible with the Passport branding. After I've driven awhile I'll decide if I want it remounted elsewhere. Premier did a great job. SV. I've had positive experiences with both shops, but SV is much closer to me. Thank you. I wanted a black dash to reduce glare, and to tie back to the black carpeting and wheel. However, at some sunlight angles I am getting reflections from the stitching.
On an unrelated question - I'd like to update my profile picture. There was a thread awhile ago about how to create one with a wider picture, like jm2's. Does anyone have the instructions saved? Thanks.
