What are your thoughts on the asking price of 599.000GBP?

    Ferrari 458 4.5 Speciale 2dr

Personally I find it hard to believe that the market would accept such a high premium but I have also seen listings on european sites that have come and gone between 420.000-650.000€. Are these just dealers looking to inflate the price or what you would actually have to pay if you missed out on an allocation? Anyone know for sure price point of actual cars changing hands?

I'm no expert, but if a dealer told me that price, I'd laugh, look at him as if he had lost his marbles and tell him that I'd never do business with him again. Sure looks like someone is trying to make a huge profit, and of course there's always one who either don't care or don't know better. But that price is outrageously high. I'd buy an FF and 488 instead:D

Dealers are offering £400K for RHD, I think they are at a crazy level, but it only takes 1 person to pay.... plus there are only 30-40 cars in the UK

I am not surprised by these high prices. A friend of mine who buys ultra expensive "exotics" told me last week that he is only buying limited edition Fcars new and used moving forward as he feels that these have the best chance of increasing in value. He is selling his other super cars from his collection. Perhaps this is an indication of how others feel and the market is trying to reflect that.

Who in their right mind would expect to turn a handsome profit or appreciation on a ludicrous >100% premium on a car yet to prove its status. It's not a halo car, single or double digit limited model - or a once in a decade run.

I really think it will sell. London gets a huge influx of Supercars during the summer madness - money means nothing to these guys. (They are happy to fly in 4 or 5 hypercars for a couple of months use - you only have to follow London YouTube to see it unfold). The sellers know the market and what appeals to these buyers.

I wouldn't mind if it was RHD and didn't have that disgusting interior....... no-one in their right mind would buy pay double the price for that.

The car looks like a fully optioned car with the additional full leather... I don't think it is terribly out there in price being it is one of the only, if not the only, Aperta for sale right now. But what do I know, just trying to be optimistic, makes me feel good about mine :)

You'd have to be mad to pay that for a tickled 458.

There is what appears to be an identical Speciale A for sale in Dubai. My gut says £400k would have made it a quick sale, possibly even stretching it at £450k. But over half a million £ for one of them? No.

But it only takes one nutjob to pull the trigger on a deal like this, and you have the ball rolling....

Yeah, that interior was one thing I didn't even wanted to comment on. It is not even vulgar, it's just plain ugly. At least over-the-top vulgarity can have its place on occasion, but this? What were they thinking.

There are the more-money-than-brain club members, and I go out on a limb here and say that, more than a few of us here most likely have applied for a membership at some point. But this? Good grief.

Anyone know the 330GTC, F50, 288GTO and F40 UK prices at the moment?

Has anyone in the United States received their 458 Speciale A yet. I'm curious if Ferrari NA has started delivery yet. Mine is supposed to arrive by June but no update yet from my dealer.
