My friend just spec'd his Tailor-Made 488 in Maranello, definitely looks great! CF side intake slats too. The seats are technical fabric, not sure new version or not. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't think those shots will do the car justice, I think I will look even better when its finished! Very nice unique 488.
I really don't like stripes on "normal" Ferrari's, i.e not Speciale's, Scud's etc. But I have to admit that this look really good. I really like the top part of the front splitter in black as well!
Looks really nice. Any idea what the new MSRP is? I imagine, the higher it is, the less the 458 will fall.
488 starting to grow on me even though I think the 458 is the best out of the two. Having a hard time grasping that a Ferrari went the turbo route.
In Australia, it's lower than the 458 but includes less equipment than comes on the Australian spec 458 model. My guess is all-up with a few options it will be around the same price or slightly less than the 458.
Dealer told me starting price will be around $270-275,000 in US. But he could have just been saying that so I get into a 458 earlier haha.
Based on Ferrari's pricing on options, this could easily be a $325k car if you get carbon fiber, racing seats, extra campionairo, etc.
If that is the base price the 325 will be a somewhat decently option car. Extra camp I can see the prices go way higher
Hi I am configurating my next 488 gts. Would anyone know how much the scuderia tailor made program would cost?
The program is virtually "free". Meaning that you pay through the nose for the spec you come up with. My understanding from my buddies who have used it is that there is no set fee for using the "Tailor Made" department. Meaning, if you sit down with the "designer" and do absolutely nothing beyond normal available options, then you pay what somebody who didn't use service would have paid. I have heard in Italy there is a cost. Also there may be a NYC charge as well of maybe 1K, but nothing exorbitant. It is when you use them to do custom seat design, custom colors, stripes, etc. that the $$$ start to flow. Best
Yes I added a white colored spine in the middle of my racing seats...$2-3k... My 488 Spider was around $371k
371k is probably one of the most speced out I have heard. Congrats and post up some pics when you get it.
I forgot to add one final comment. You do not need to use the Atelier services to get Tailor Made custom work. Meaning, if you know exactly how you want to customize your car - color, trim, etc. your dealer contacts Ferrari about cost/availability. Some options may fall into the "extra comp" area and others require "Tailor Made" dept. Your dealer will advise you on this. In the end, it makes no difference (except for cost!!) which dept does the customization you want. Best
There is no cost in Italy and to be honest, if you're going to do Tailor Made that's the only place I'd do it. Tailor Made on a standard production car probably isn't worth it - you will probably get most of what you want from the Atelier. The other factor to consider is that some things you may decide on for Tailor Made may delay delivery of the car by quite a while as the one off items tend to slow down the process!!!
