There's Tony working his magic. She's going to look great! My biggest mistake was not taking pictures of the rear suspension of that GT2. That beast was amazing.
Ah that suspension lowered looks the absolute dogs danglies. How low did it go at the front? Any ride issues? Nervous about doing mine, but seeing yours makes me want want want
Lowered 55mm on the nose; no ride issues but very careful on speed bumps LOL A pic to tempt you more Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh my days.... That look immense. Mines the same colour and same wheels too.....my dealer warned me massively against lowering, said arches need doing for sure and the handling is screwed up. I've searched this forum and so many for but also many against. Looks wise it's a no brainer I'm just paranoid about warranty and ride issues etc :-/
No ride issues for me but I had to do various fender mods, you can search my 'lowering' threads for more info, then again no one in their right mind would lower it 55mm if you go 30mm that's plenty and you will achieve the look you want cheers
Love the seats but that's just subjective opinion; no racing for me: just a poser although saving over 40kg aint so bad, that's almost my weight
here are the total weight savings w/o counting the race cats: Oem muffler: 38 lbs. Sports oem muffler: 28 lbs. stock exhaust tips: 5 lbs. oem titanium tips: 2 lbs. stock headers: 42 lbs. innotech f1 headers: 26 lbs. stock wheel lug nuts: 6 lbs. novitec titanium wheel lug nuts: 3 lbs. oem electric Daytona seats: 122 lbs. 458 challenge race seats: 28 lbs. Total weight savings (not counting the race cats): 126 lbs. / 57 kg. Total weight savings counting the race cats: > 60 kg.
90 kilos but I believe that is dry weight w/o fluids: almost there LOL Just got some updates: all proceeding well, Tony is fabricating a bracket from scratch to accommodate the eyelets to attach the harnesses and they will look into clearing the codes tomorrow. Car is slated to be ready Wednesday afternoon, will post more pics tomorrow
latest pics: backwall removed awaiting the custom-made bracket to accommodate the eyelets for the 6-point harnesses, and new seat base: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Maybe we can fit those coeds in Sheila bro😀 Size 31 waist. If you beat me our friendship is over lmao.
This was a nice DIY job imo An fine example of nice upgrading this 458 I ! What I am interested in is: does the car tell somehow that the seats are gone ... and what implications does that have (no starting or so ?) ... and how to get rid of this ?
