Here it is... What a beautiful car. All the lines work and the profile looks just beasty. I can see this become a better seller than the coupe. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think it is just fantastic looking. The 3/4 views in particular. The one thing that looked a little odd, at least to me, was how the retractable hard top mates up with the rear pylons. There's a simple solution to that though!
Gosh: a surprise announcement - never saw that coming - you'd have thought it might have been discussed here already It has ?
For the people that cant be bothered to search through a bunch of long threads with different topics to find posts somewhere in the middle to see the pics... I havent noticed that the pics were released until I saw them somewhere else. Not on fchat eventhough they were posted already in the large thread
I think it will easily outsell the coupe. The coupe only has a small advantage in stiffness and visibility, and the dubious "advantage" of being able to see the small-looking engine.
You can get one. Ferrari has figured out a way to get another 10 grand out of you. It will be an option. I'm guessing on the price but it sounds about right.
Interesting that Ferrari is stating that Spider spaceframe structure is 23% stiffer than previous model and is now same as Berlinetta....
If true that would be awesome. But, what about the additional weight? This may be an advantage of the Turbo motor. They can tweak it to try to mask the issues.
Its new. Called Electric blue. May be exclusive for the Spider -- my guess = $$$$$. The California T and F12 had their own new colors as well.
Interesting, seeing that Ferrari already have a colour called Blu Elettrico. Here Blu Elettrico is on the LaF. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is what the body guy in the 488 spider intro video called it : Electric blue. But maybe he was just referring to as a type and not the real name. If I'm wrong, blame the video! It's "Ferrari". This car is much, much better looking than it's Mac equivalent. It may not be the prettiest car Ferrari has ever made but in contemporary terms, it certainly is.
Saw that color on a 458 a few months ago. Figured it was either a custom color or a wrap, but it was very striking in person. As bright as a red or yellow car.
I thought you were going all soft but you managed to diss both Mac and the 488 in the same sentence. Brilliant!
