Hello all, I am in a process to purchase a second hand 458 speciale. There are actually 2 options for me : 1) 458 Speciale Giallo, alcantara charcoal interior and alcantara charcoal/T3D grey seats. 2) 458 Speciale Rosso Corsa, alcantara nero interior and alcantara nero/T3D red seats. Your votes you will be very much appreciated, big thanks . See photos enclosed. Neither. Beautiful TDF with Bianco NART stripes, black calipers and carbon everywhere. But then again I'm very biased Enjoy whatever you choose. A superb car.
I had a yellow 360 and yellow 430. I have had a corsa 458 Italia and now have a corsa 458 spider. So, I obviously like both. In the way the 2 cars are optioned here, I would opt for the red. I think the NART stripe is more "classic" in that Ferrari debuted the car this way. I also don't like the double stripes as much on the yellow. If the yellow had a different stripe I might have changed my vote. If resale in the future needs to be factored into your color choice, in certain markets, certain colors are harder/easier to sell. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with either. Both are beautiful. Best
Yellow with black stripes is too much alike a bumble bee for my taste Agree with Randy - red with NART is classic and timeless. I once had a yellow car... Loved it for the first couple of years.... Then it wore on me. Conversely, don't think I would EVER get tired of a red Ferrari
This is the one car I love in Yellow. I have silver 458s with blue strip, but the other color I like is they yellow. I like red without strip in the 458s but not with strip for some reason.
Tough call. The red is classic, had the same interior spec but with Fiorano/nart stripe. There's something special about the yellow with the slightly different stripe. My only personal hesitation would be with the grey interior of the yellow car. A bit too subtle. I'll have to vote RC.
I like the Rosso car best in terms of exterior and interior spec. No right or wrong here. Go with your gut feeling.
This may be of little or no importance to you, but I find carbon fiber in engine bay is a huge plus. I was at my dealer yesterday and a few Speciales and Speciale As were there. The carbon in the engine bay really adds a lot to "exterior" view. (coupe only of course.) I know you can go aftermarket for fraction of Ferrari cost if one car doesn't have it. But, if cars are equally priced the cf adds some visual appeal based on my recent experience. Again, best of luck in your choice. Randy
I have been lucky enough to have a few - never had a Red car. Rosso Corsa if on a Ford you would not look twice at, go for a new colour multi layer paint. Why buy an amazing car and put 1950s flat paint on it. Red is not classic, all early Ferraris were blue, silver etc. F1 is only red angle. If you must get red get a multi layer new paint style red.
Yellow for sure... Red with nart is too common.. everyone has one... I am a little biased though haha Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is also what i thought, there are 24 Speciale for sale in Europe (w/o UK) and 20 are Rosso Corsa - 13 of them are Rosso Corsa with Nart and red seats : all identical.
