Didn't even think of it in white. The black vent goes really well with the whole car. Also that rear shot is... wow.
The car looks great. Not ready to say it looks better than the 458 spider...and the diamond polished 458 wheels are still the best looking wheels F ever made imvho. The spider rear looks better than GTB.
The front is a winner for the 458 but the real shots of the 488 spider are impressing me a lot. Much better than the coupe.

I'd have to disagree with you Marmist. 488 looks too bulky and side view with the vents just doesn't flow very well. Open up the hood and engine looks wimpy. I'm trying to warm up to the GTB but having tough time. Maybe in a different color like gray would look much better.
I'm starting to think I might agree with you on that one. Haven't seen it in the flesh yet, though, so final judgement is reserved for now.
The spider looks great thanks for sharing. My opinion on looks FWIW, the 488 spider > 458 spider. But 458 Italia > 488 GTB. On the coupes, which I have seen in person, I think the 488 wins in the rear- the 488 is cleaner, the front is a tie- the 488 has clear connections to LF and even F12 and just looks a bit more modern, but the side is a clear win to the 458 Italia. The side view on the 488 is really challenging for me. But thats just one person's opinion. I think the 488 will do very well for Ferrari.

the problem is .... THIS. White, as always, does only damage to the lines and u cant notice how more beautiful, especially on the sides and rear the 488 really is compared to the 458. The only thing I can agree on is that they could have made the front air conducts (those 2 that start in the front bumper and exit on the sides of the hood) more similar to the one of the Speciale, rather than dividing them. I find the Speciale air duct better in shape. But the bumper is so similar to the one of a Lamborghini that I really love it. Like they took the best of the 2 worlds. And there is no competition on side and rear, that air duct on the side is magnificent. Of course the problem is the colour. Black or Grigio Silverstone on this one. Dont know about which type of red would fit best.
However of course, the difference stays in the engine and how much one can prefer NA to Turbo. Still the 458 is a WONDERFUL car. Not denying that. Just saying that the 488 is....those hips...
The looks of this car are really growing on me as I expected it would. When I first saw the 458 I swore I was sticking with my 430. That feeling didn't last long and I suspected the same would happen with the 488. I will see one in person for the first time this Friday.. that will be the real test.
It's MUCH better in person (the GTB). The only thing that looks odd is the door handle IMO. I'm sure the spider will be breathtaking....
