Hello all, Long time reader, first time poster... because I did it; a few weeks ago I finally decided to fulfil a lifelong dream of mine and get myself 'that' Ferrari. Although for years I've been looking for the perfect F355 (and never felt comfortable enough to actually purchase one) deciding on the right 458 wasn't so hard at all. I picked it (her?) up on December 26th and have had a permanent grin on my face ever since. It's been quite a while since I've been this happy with a new car. It's a Giallo Modena 458 Italia that was first registered in April of 2011 and has done +/- 16.000km since. I've been adding about 400 km over the past week or so and am enjoying every second I use the car. Since this is my first post, I'll also do a short introduction: my name is René and together with my wife Daniëlle and our kids, Dylan and Matthew, we live in the small town of Huizen in The Netherlands. I'm 37 years old and run a small niche consulting business for a living. I look forward to contributing to these forums and reading even more interesting stories, tips and threads. Kind regards, René Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congratulation. Since its a 2011, you want to make sure if the ECU hasn't been upgraded yet, then you can have the sound of machine gun.
Then when you do maintenance every year, make sure you tell the dealer not to upgrade the ECU. You can later modify it to sound like this : https://youtu.be/gtjp3o-KXaU
Congrats! I can certain understand the joy. I have a 2010 458 in the same color with Nero interior. I think the color stands out and has a strong presence. That's why I picked it over the other popular colors such as Rosso Corsa. My 488 order is coming up soon, and I am likely to order the Giallo Triplo Strato this time. Enjoy the car, the 458 is also one of my dream cars!
That's a great color as well... I actually looked at a 458 with that exact color but decided in favour of the one above because of other reasons (one year newer, less mileage). Mine has a nero interior as well, with yellow stitching.
Beautiful car! (Word of advice...ask the mods to remove such personal information you posted in your excitement on an open forum....especially one that targets you as "wealthy"...sorry if this is a buzzkill.)
The yellow is a great color choice. The euro version Italia looks very clean without the North American style side marker lights. Way to go!
I agree. The European version looks better. I had to darken the orange side markers on my 458 to better contrast the Giallo Modena color.
