Car is about to go red 10, so no more changes in a couple days. Build is blue corsa, black splitter, diamond forged wheels and black sill. On the 1 hand, why spend the extra $ on blue corsa, then cover it with a black sill. On the other, hand, it completes the dark line between the wheels, frames the blue nicely with the Nero interior and also anchors the carbon splitter. Most launch pix show black splitter. Hence my dilemma. C'mon all you Ferrari fashionistas, purists, artists and rogues, speak your mind quickly or forever hold your tongues. Red 10 waits for no man (or woman)

Black splitter? You mean on the front? Leave it painted

I think all 488 cars look best with black sills. The sills are so wide that they need to be visually deemphasized.

The question is do I leave it body color or black sill? I'm not adding more cf to exterior. Not a big cf fan but caved on the splitter because i don't think it looks great in body color. However, I'm on the sill about the sill

Agree, totally your call at the end of the day obviously and down to personal taste. I will say it alters the 'wedge' look of the 'hip' of the car (or the rear guard/intake).

Depends on the look you want...
Black will narrow the waist and the air-intake becomes a higher visual percentage of the remaining blue side.

Blue makes the car look more planted to the road with a wider base and deemphasizes the air-intake.

The black sill would be my preference; especially with a lighter color like blu corsa.

I would leave it body colour but you can't go wrong. Both look good.

I would not get any of those areas in black and leave them all Blu Corsa.

    I agree with italiafan's analysis.

The 488 has a stronger pinch in from the lower rocker and doing it in black will accentuate this. I think staying with the Blu Corsa for the lower rocker and the vent splitter softens the overall look a little, which I think is helpful to the design of the 488. I think if you have to go black then make sure you get the B pillar area (part of the top mechanism) in black to match, otherwise its a grayish color. Or don't get the front inside of the splitter in black and leave that gray as well as the vent splitter and B-pillar cover. I'd just leave the lower rocker as Blu Corsa.

    Very pretty color, congratulations!

Leave them body colour. You need to have the wrapped anyway, so just go with what ever you want. Clear, or matte or gloss black wrap.

I think body colour looks best. I think the black sills make the car look "lifted" in the middle like the arch of a foot when the car it viewed from the side.

As for the side vent splitter, I think it looks horrid in black/CF - makes it look like a big black gaping hole. If body colour is available, I think that looks the best and most coherent. Only two colours I'd ever remotely consider the CF side vent splitter in, would be Avus and Nero.

Leave them painted. Probably easier to wrap if you want to change the look later.

Just get it ordered and drive it. You will like the car either way.

Looking at the photos though, I think the all blue version looks better. Black sill does not work so well with that color blue.

Get the blue sill and have fun!
