I just ordered some carbon fog light surrounds from Novitec and they fit badly. I made a complete mistake. The worst part is they are trying to say the Ferrari garage fitted them incorrectly. They are a bolt on part and there is no adjustment. I am staying clear of anything with the word Novitec on it. I now have to pay Ferrari to uninstall the surrounds and order OEM Foglight surrounds. Thanks for the advice. They are being sent back and another tuner is making them up for me properly. I shall post the pictures of the new parts and reveal the Tuner.
Thanks Raul. It might prove handy for other members in the future. All the best. Hope you got your problem solved sooner rather than later. Kind regards, Nuno.
And this is exactly why if you want carbon fiber you just order it from your original build Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
I bought almost everything from these guys: Home » Capristo Automotive and its all amazing!! I got: Fuel cap mirrors front fins air outlet ribs side covers air intake flaps side fins front spoiler diffusor Engine covers I would highly recommend them.
Hi, I brought my car in April last year and decided to give it a mini overhaul before the summer so my Ferrari garage picked up my car a few weeks ago. Part of the overhaul included replacement of the exterior trim to carbon but due to the high cost I decided to get aftermarket parts and purchased, Carbon Capristo Front Winglets, Engine Bay Kit and diffuser but Capristo did not make the carbon foglight surrounds so I was forced to buy the Novitec ones. I have now sent my OEM ones to Capristo and they are going to make some up for me as a favour. The OEM Carbon ones are not in stock and Ferrari said they will not be ready until March. My car now is stuck on their ramp until these parts come in. In their defence the quality of Novitec carbon of the fog light surrounds is very good but its design does not match the OEM by a long way. Once Capristo makes my foglight surrounds up I will post a pic so you can all see. Sorry if I sound like I was throwing my toys out the pram but I was hoping to pick up my car after its mini overhaul. Ferrari are doing all the work. They picked up my car from my home and now it will sit in their garage until they can fit the them because my car is over 100 miles form the Ferrari Garage.
Wow thats some strange fitment and pretty surprising considering Novitec's reputation for premium products. Let us know how the new products turn out!
Do a chargeback if u paid with credit card. And show in photos what is wrong ...to credit card company when they ask you the reason.
Guys I have to report that Novitec and Capristo let me down. I regret my decision completely to buy after market parts. It always goes wrong. I have ordered the OEM foglight surrounds from Ferrari at a cost of 5000USD.
Im really surprised by your comment. I am so happy with the Capristo I got for my Speciale that when I get the 488 Lightweight I wont order any factory Carbon and only get Capristo from now on.
I sent them the OEM parts at their request and my cost. They said they would make them up and then they did not. Maybe I am old fashioned but I don't think that is acceptable.
I must say Capristo, Novitec and Tubi Style (just to name a few, but also Nouvalari or Larini for instance) have impeccable reputation over here. Beyond reproach. Top notch products and efficient customer care. They are european brands and I've dealt with them in Europe, so I really don't know how they're represented over there in the US. Nevertheless it's the first time I hear of problems with their products, let alone regarding something as basic as a part fitting a hole or not. Taking into account what I've writen before, it's also important to notice that bad things can happen to anyone and if Raul feels he has been wronged, that shouldn't be downplayed and he's right to look to set things straight with them. He's entitled to ask for his money back or new parts (that's what I'd do regardless, to avoid losing a valued customer - and if I was a customer in this situation, that's what I'd ask for). I'm pretty confident an amiccable and cordial solution to this problem will be found soon, so that Capristo doesn't lose a customer and Raul is happy with the parts he ordered for his 458, to the point that he'll always consider Capristo and/or Novitec whenever looking to buy parts. If common sense prevails, there's no good reason for this not to happen. Worse, more complex situations have found peaceful resolutions. Kind regards, Nuno.
I think in all cases when you order these products you order them from your dealer and have them install them. That way if something goes wrong, you go to your dealer and not have to go through Novitec or whoever if something goes wrong. But if you order them yourself and get your dealer put them on, then there is a good chance that they might not do the best effort to make sure they fit correctly to get you to order factory parts next time directly with them. I just find it odd that from my experience the parts I received from Capristo are amazing, fit perfect and look better then factory parts, especially the diffuser
I was supplied Novitec Foglight surrounds which my dealer installed. They did not fit correctly and I therefore approached Capristo and asked if they could help. They said yes. Send us the original surrounds and we shall make Carbon ones for you in 4 weeks. I spent hours on the phone and they seemed very helpful. I sent them the OEM Plastic surrounds and then nothing. They kept telling me people are in meetings. I sent some emails and I did not even get a reply or apologise. I had no choice but to order OEM Ferrari ones for silly money. I have been informed by Ferrari they have one OEM Foglight surround now and they are waiting for the other to arrive.
Not to add insult to injury, but truthfully, this is why vendors / distributors exist. I'm like a concierge service. You tell me what you want, and I find it or make it happen. If I can't, I explain why. If the manufacturer provides a faulty part, I resolve it. And in the long run, you spend less as most manufacturers charge MSRP. All the time and effort invested in chasing this all down and battling with various manufacturers could have been saved. We do hundreds of thousands in business with these brands on an annual basis. We have direct representatives at each. We have the pull to make things happen. Let us assist you in your upgrades. -James

If you look at the stamp. It says Ferrari by C.B.S. This is the company that makes OEM Ferrari parts. CBS I am sure you all know this anyway
No experience with Novitec, but I've had great luck with Rob at Carbonio. Their attention to detail and customer service is excellent. They really stand behind their product; I've been nothing but impressed with the company. Ray
