488 GTB Production Delivery Timeline

I heard factory is going through major system upgrades and it is having some difficulties while doing it. So they told me to expect some delays.

Car is originally expected to be ready Late June but now they told me to prey it to arrive before summer break.

Dealer just let me know my 488 Spider is getting it's Bianco Fuji top coat done - now Red 30 for a little under two weeks. I've never ordered a triple layer before but I hear it can take a month?

 

Not sure what I should do either, my car (CalitHS) was suppose to arrive in 2-3 weeks (delivered by April 30) and that was the latest. It is still 10R and I have already given them my FF and signed everything over. I am setting myself up for a June delivery and that is weeks past my birthday (present it was)! We rushed to finalize the order late December and nada! They gave me the opportunity to take my FF back when we discovered all these delays, maybe I should have but I passed.

Edit: while as I was typing this my car when status 20.. hallelujah! Happy as s$it!!!

 

My 488 Spider order was accepted (no changes) on Monday (March 27), and the dealer said to expect the car in September. This is about a month longer than my prior orders. We'll see. In the interim, I still have my fabulous 458 Spider to play with.

 

Do you have any special requests?

 

No special requests. A lot of options, but nothing tailor-made or special order. Standard paint (Argento).

 

It's definitely slower. I ordered my GTB in October of 16 and I got it this time last year. My spider order went in October 28 2016, initially said I would have the car likely in February or maybe march because of the triple layer paint. At red 30 today I assume I'm at least 2-4 weeks from completion, then a month on the boat a a week or two customs, us travel and dealer prep puts me into June. Arnie sorry to hear. I'm

I sold my 488 coupe back to dealer and I'm waiting for my spider there is definitely some issues with Modus. Other peoples ferrari orders were showing up on MyFerrari then disappeared .I got a picture of my completed spider 3 weeks ago.

 

My car was supposed to be an April delivery but looking at late May or early June. Not the end of the world but hard to wait for it

 

Ordered my car just before the August 2016 hiatus for an October 2016 build date. Received my car the end of February 2017.

 

AND ... less driving this season !

 

Agreed but its still pretty nasty over here, lots of rain, still cold. May is the magic month for us

 

Received notice car went 10R today. Any recent experience on ETA for delivery in Florida following 10R notice??

It's about 6 weeks to western USA after the last photo so you should be getting your car in about 2 weeks! Exciting! Last I checked I was still at 30 (about two weeks ago) and haven't heard anything since.

 

10R unfortunately means very little outside of the fact that no changes are allowed - you want status 20 then its moving along nicely and you can use the above timeline to get an idea of delivery. Maybe 5 weeks versus 6 for shipping once its done. For us, it will almost be 9 months of waiting for a CaliforniaTHS when/if we get it in June - who would have thought!!

 

It's possible that the impact of building the extra series for Ferrari 70 celebration are causing delays ...

Informed I'm at stage 40 now. The triple layer paint extravaganza is compete. Still no photos. Lol. Likely in next couple weeks then 6 to western US. Summertime fun!

 

Just curious, how are you guys finding this out? Dealer? Factory? Email?

My dealer is telling me they are building my spyder now, but that's subjective. Would like to see some objective confirmation.

Went to my Ferrari site- nothing. Should I be worried?
