Matt doesn't look that great imo. Gloss is the look!

Roof Wrap

I had a white 2016 488 GTB and asked the dealer to put a Black Gloss wrap on it without looking at the material. It looked like a cheap plastic finish that had Orange Peel, and looked awful. I then rewrapped it with a Semi Gloss. This looked perfect, plus was an excellent match for the black trim around the tail lights. It looked even better each time I Waxed it. That lesson cost me $1200 which I am happy to share with you. Do it, you will be very happy.

The 458 coupe has a beautiful roof line. Blacking it out loses the line, and it looks a little... Honda CRX? Show off those Pininfarina lines with the body colour!

I kinda agree with this. The wrap tends to cheapen the car. If your preference is going to be the two tone look then desirably better to get the black painted roof. Anything else will take on the look of an after thought - of not acceptable at a distance.

I have a friend that has a white 458 and wrapped the roof with black semi I believe. I think it actually looks great on a white 458. I have Corsa red and was thinking about it but decided against it. I fell in love with it just the way it is.

My 488 roof is actually a factory option done in Grigio Silverstone Opaco. It was specifically ordered that way to match the sides and wheels. Pictures do not do it justice and definitely does not look cheap in person. Again, it's all a personal preference...matte or gloss you can't go wrong. Enjoy!
