All in same price range. Which one?
Why just one? Drive each for one or two years. Looks like you have the next three years planned out at a minimum. I have all three of these on my list.
I had a very similar set of choices except 991.1 GT3 and a 650S.. The GT3 was bundles of fun but just didn't seem to have any spark to it for me.. The 650S was FAST but I couldn't get over what I felt was a cheap interior, and I didn't like some of the exterior trim details. Also didnt love its transmission. It was a really smooth ride though. It was immediately apparent to me when I sat in a 458 and drove it for half a block that it was the car for me. I have to admit though, I still dream about adding both a GT3 and a 650 to the collection though, and probably in that order.
570 or 458 570 for looks and power 458 can not match. 458 for na v8 singing and 9k rpm. for me, I have owned all 3 of them and I would choose 570s. If one is looking for linear clean power delivery and ease of use on the track, 458. For street fun, or occasional track fun, then 570s. GT3 for track is what everyone does but once you track your F, it is really hard to go back to P for track car. Dont even think about porsche if you can have Ferrari.
Can add r8, nsx, rwd huracan too as all around $200k. I would take 458 for its beauty, sound, 9k redline. Best of the bunch
I would take the 458 over the 570S for the sound alone, and I prefer the looks as well. All subjective of course
If you like sound, get a 458 and modify the exhaust. A full modified GT3 is not even close. Then the look, IMO 458 looks much better than the Bettle-looking 911. But the new GT3 will corner better than the 458. And with stick shift, the depreciation will be little. Forget about turbocharged cars.
Try the three of them. One size fits none. Afterwards, tell us why you fell head over feet for the 458. Kind regards, Nuno.
Which cars do you have?, Which car are you going to trade, if any, is 458 going to be under warranty? Do you track? How far do you live from the dealership? How much do you like the exotic car lifestyle events? A lot more to it then just what might be the best car.
991.2 GT3 will be next to impossible to get unless you (a) you have had your name on the wait list for at least the past 6 months and (b) are willing to pay over list. That is, unless you bought new and still own a 918 - in which case you're part of the Porsche VIP program and get first dibs at list on them.
Gt3 newer car which is solid performance and great build quality imo. I like the 458 but it's yesterday's game. Too many 458s Around and Gt3 more rare and less depreciation at this point . If none of this matters then buy the 458. 570 cool too but haven't seen one in person yet ..
Too many 458s? Where do you live? Most people can't tell the difference between one Porsche or the other, rare or not. Ferraris always stand out.
I personally think you get way more bang for the buck going with the 458 over a new GT3 in every dimension. Exterior Style: * GT3 - Looks like any other Porsche but has nice styling cues. * 458 - Looks like a Ferrari Interior: * GT3 - Looks like any other Porsche * 458 - Looks like a Ferrari Overall Car: * GT3 - Is a Porsche * 458 - Is a Ferrari I think this sums it up best.
I completely agree. Very well said. I would choose the 458. But then again, I am on Ferrari Chat as that is where my interests lie. I'm not on Porsche or McLaren chat.
Howydo must live in an area where 8/10 people drive around in ferraris. When he is driving home one day he should take a random pic of his surroundings. There must be soo many ferraris driving around.
