Does anyone have a recommendation for a great restaurant for lunch? I am getting a factory tour on Friday afternoon. Thanks in advance!

Cavallino, it's right on the Ferrari campus, across from the main gate. Call ahead for reservations. Montana is best for dinner.

Was just there theee weeks ago. Montana is leagues above Cavallino. Enjoy.

In Modena, there is the Osteria Francescana that is rated as the best restaurant in the world, but the Montana is the place. Forget the Cavallino....

Depends on how much time you have. Cavallino is right across the street from the factory tour entrance. The Montana is down the road across a bridge. Its not really walkable because the bridge has no walkway or curb. Service is also slower. I actually thought the Cavallino was quite good. Not as good as Montana, but still good. You won't be disappointed.

I guess Montana it is! The website isn't very compelling as a place for a great meal but it sounds unanimous.

    Thanks folks!

Montana great and seemingly in the middle of nowhere. But when I went (last summer) they opened at 7pm. Maybe they open for lunch then close then reopen for dinner. Not sure. But it's a super cool family owned restaurant with all sorts of Ferrari memorabilia all over the walls. It's a must see. Cavallino is directly across the street from the old entrance and is also very good. We did lunch there and dinner at Montana. A perfect day!

    Have eaten at Montana twice.
    Have never seen a menu.
    Food is very good.
    You won't be disappointed.
    Just go with the flow.
It can be difficult to find in terms of the street entrance to it.
Cavallino was dreary and tired and was very sorry I went there.
I hope Barbara is your tour leader.
    She is fantastic.

Forgot to say I also ate lunch at Francescana this March.
Can take months for a reservation but they have a waiting list and we lucked out as they had a cancellation. Very different than Montana as it is world class, formal dining. Very expensive, too. I think our lunch for two was around $900 inclusive of wine pairing.
It is in Modena, about a 45 minute drive from the factory and parking is difficult and they use meters taking coins. It is not far from the Enzo museum which is a must see.

Ristorante La Gazelle is over the top! Montana and cavallino don't even come close, imho
Ate there three times while in Maranello, never disappointed. We had free shuttle from Maranello Palace, walking distance to Ferrari factory

Montana's sphere is unique; lunch was € 39 pro person last week.
