I am thinking of putting the Capristo Engine Bay Glass Cover on my 458 Spider. i think it looks awesome in pictures. I would like some feed back about this product and if anyone has put it on their Ferrari 458 Spider.
    Thanks

I did one for one of my clients and he was thoroughly pleased with the results. Fitment was great, looked great - all smiles!

How much are you paying for the glass

I looked it up and believe the cost for the components is $9,840, plus labor to remove the stock engine cover and install the new cover with the glass.

Correct, I am pretty sure the OP is asking about a 458 Spider...

Closer to 15,000. I have it on mine. Some hoops to jump through on install and painting.

488 is like 10 because it's all glass and doesn't need paint.

    Love it.

WHY are there so many rear engine covers from Capristo 458 Spider (separate) for sale on Ebay ?

Last month I saw three for sale .... for about 50% of the Original price ...

Could that be because a new owner may not want to buy a non-oem car ?

In the photos of the first white spider it looks like it's polished carbon fibre rather than painted, is this correct? My understanding is that the whole panel other than the glass is carbon fibre.

Perhaps the owners realised that was a lot of money to pay to not be able to see the engine... :)

Or traded the car and put the original lid back on to recoup some of the expense?
