Poll which do Fchatters prefer coupe or spider?

Any chance we can get a new option? Both! I have a Cali, and the beauty of the hard-top convertible is that it can be both within about 14 seconds.

I wouldn't exactly call one better than the other. They are both amazing cars. It's all a personal preference. I'm a GTB guy. I just much prefer the pure flow of the hard top design, as well as the view of the engine.

 

I have 458 Spider and a Speciale...love them both..but if I'm only ever allowed one Ferrari...I'd go with 458 SA....that is the best of both worlds!

I prefer a spyder over a coupe. Man I wish 458 SA will come down in price so I can trade in my Speciale for one!

 

Depends. When I was younger it was spider all the way. Now more coupe.

I prefer the looks of the spider but the driving of the coupe. If I had to pick it would be the coupe.

 

Both! But the engine view is something to reckon with.

 

I miss the rear quarter window of the coupe that was deleted on the spider. That and other reasons - So I will go coupe.

Too much body work on the spider when the roof is up. Coupe all the way (except for sound)

 

Which model? I pick coupe for 458 and spider for 488

 

I voted spider because my wife and I love open top motoring here I n England.
I would prefer the coupe really though for its engine display and slightly better flowing lines,we own a red cream 360 spider and just love it's engine display etc, Mark

 

For mid engine cars, I would prefer a targa top over a mechanical convertible. I loved how they engineered the removable roof on the LaFerrari Aperta. Convertibles flow much more seamlessly on front engine GT's and don't infringe on the purity of the cars lines.

 

I voted coupe. It just feels more rigid to me (the spider is very good as far as convertibles go tho), but I can feel the extra rigidity of a coupe. Plus I love the glass rear and being able to see the engine

I drive both on a fairly regular basis (every few weeks at least)

 

Coupe! Never really understood why people prefer the worse car (convertible), when they can get the properly engineered one...

Never ever even thought about a spider

I like prefer the engine display and better lines of the coupe. Also drives better ... as car.
