So true. I don't remember the exact details ... and I think the insurance company was State Farm but don't hold me to it. Anyway, a car caught on fire in the garage which then caused the house to burn. The problems arose when the insurance company and home owner couldn't agree on which policy to file the claims under. If they used the home insurance policy then the house and its contents (including the car) were covered. If they used the car policy then the house wasn't covered. I don't remember the outcome. I would think it wise that owners check their policies to see what is covered.

If I were an insurance company I would definitely be attempting to get Ferrari to pay for these damages now that it is not an isolated incident.

Actually, you need to claim through insurance. Whatever there is a GAP, then you might need to fight with F.

What a drag if you waited months to get your car and then had to wait yet again after just a few days, weeks of ownership.

As well with the build numbers so low the ratio of cars destroyed would seem that rates to insure the car may increase drastically if the problem is not addressed quickly. This may cause some people to cancel their orders altogether, although we are talking about a pretty expensive car and the rates would have to increase quite a bit for it to be considered unacceptable to most buyers, I would assume.

Strongly agree. It would be a real pain to wait then get it and then burn and then wait again... ;-(

I think the only thing more painful than being on a 2+ year waiting list to get your perfectly optioned Ferrari, is watching it burn to the ground mere weeks after taking delivery.

At about 12 seconds into the video it looks like fluid (fuel??) from the ground head towards the vehicle prior to another fire flash. Could the presence of that fluid be a clue of some kind?
