Could this be Claptons 458?

If I were to guess, I would say yes. He wanted it to look like a Boxer and that sure does.
I'm not sure it's 100% successful though. It looks a bit odd -- I hate to say this but even a bit cartoony retro. The boxer has a lot longer nose in proportion to today's modern cars. I'd have to see more before I say I like it. But, if it really has 12 cylinders --- all sins are forgiven!

There appears to be a flying buttress over the rear quarter panel that I suppose is to give it the illusion of the boxer's rear. Boxer paint also.
Also notice it's RHD, which would indicate also it's Clapton's car. I think we have the mysterious car here. One funny detail is the 80's style door handle. I'm not sure that's a positive. The interior looks standard with Daytona trim. The gas cap looks "glued on".

I don't believe that in the end a V12 was fitted. That may be it. Note paddle shifters.

I've been told this one cost a lot more than P 4/5.

Jimmie, Will you be in attendance? Did you read this somewhere? Just curious, that's all. Thanks for the info.. Personally, I think it looks great, with a DEFINITE tie to the BB of old, I think they did a great interpretation of it. Then again, IMO Ferrari couldn't mess a design up if they tried. Grazie. I think bdelp is on the right track with his cartoony retro statement. To me, it looks like some sort of early to mid 90s concept car.
Interior looks rather plain! Looking forward to seeing better photos and reading more about it. |

I wonder, is there a PF signature on this car?

These two forms really bother me. I understand what they are trying to mimic from the boxer but it does not work from any angle other than the straight side view.
It's a surprising lack of design understanding -- dare I say amateurish?

![]() One thing that does appear cool is that the entire rear deck appears to move up like the boxer's. You can see the cut line for it just above the rear wheel extending to the black wing on top. If that is true, that's a very cool feature. It's something I've always loved about Boxers.

I dont like it. Too many clashing styles and yet you can clearly see a 458 underneath.
Too bad they couldnt use popup headlights... |

I can't see how that could be, since yours was such a drastic change in shape. This nose, while new panels, look aerodynamically similar to a regular 458.

![]() I would agree though as the interior is bone stock standard from what I can see.
