Traded my 430 Scuderia for a 2010 599GTB with HGTE. I had the pleasure of driving it up California 1 from Los Angeles to home in San Francisco. Five hundred miles on the first day of ownership! Many more to come. This is a magnificent car! It is a different animal that requires more driver observation and input. In comparison, the Scud was a point and shoot car. In essence, this car is a nice amalgam of the SCUD and my prior car, a Porsche 997 Turbo S. No regrets on making the trade. Looks great and the yellow calipers and black highlights go great with Bianco paint. A bit more power than the other two cars, but a bit more weight, too. Great GT, especially with 85 ms shifts and the suspension stiffened up a bit.
Wow, congrats Lewis. Gorgeous. Slide us a few shots of the interior if it's convenient. Black obviously, but always interesting, stitching, CF, etc.
Lew, I tried for awhile to trade my scud for that car but they wanted over 60K, hope you got a better deal or maybe it didnt matter to you. Its a beautiful 599 and from your report you are liking it way more than the scud which is all that matters.
Beautiful, love it in white! I'd be interested in a detailed comparison with the Scud - completely different driving experience. I've ridden passenger in one and certainly felt more comfortable in it. Power is amazing. It did feel more "GT" How would you compare steering feel?
congrats! i assume this is the one that was at the auto gallery? i bought the other 599 they had on the floor (rosso corsa, not HGTE) 2 months and 2,000 miles ago. phenomenal as a daily driver.
