Another one of our great customers brought by this beautiful 599 and wanted the it to just kill the game. Well after maybe debates and photoshop renders, we finally decided to go with a HRE S101 setup. Perfect fitment with 21x9 and 22x12's with 255/30/21 and 335/25/22. Now, while most will be squeamish about seeing a 21/22 inch combo on a Ferrari, you can't deny that the fitment is perfected. Ben (WheelB) just crunches the numbers and every single fitment is spot on and with no issues or headaches. Well there you have it guys, what's your thoughts?

While the rim itself is beautiful especially looking like a GTO rim I get squeamish seeing 21/22. All I think is 1) the ride quality is terrible and 2) any pot hole is going to crack/bend those rims.

No probs running 21/22 on my 599 HGTE over a year now, would do it again. IMO it handles better, ride is not any worse than before, and have not had any probs with pot holes in Chicago, where it's like driving on the moon. Have to watch them regardless of OEM or aftermarket.

These HRE's look good on the 599 but think the P101 would work much better ; )

Drove my car from Texas to Chicago on 21/22's and lots of miles locally in Illinois, the only time it sits is in winter, and drove it today :)

I usually don't go for black wheels and black roof look but this looks gorgeous. The overall proportions of wheels:vehicle is how this should be from the factory. Well done!

Pothole rim damage comes from a lack of air pressure in the tires. Want to protect your rims and have very low-profile rubber, increase air pressure. I run between 48 and 52PSI in my vehicles (usually just at or slightly more than maximum rated pressure as indicated on the tire) and get a number of benefits out of it including a decreased tendency to squirm under hard braking, better fuel economy, and significantly increased tire life relative to the tire run on other vehicles at the standard 32 - 36PSI. Yes, ride quality is harsher, but I'm willing to deal with that.

Of interest, my wife, who normally doesn't care about these things at all, noted to me that something "didn't feel right" with her car after a recent trip to a 20-minute oil-change place. Said it felt "soft" and "unsettled". Sure enough, they had let some air out and set the tires at 32PSI. Jacked it right back up and she felt "sure footed" again (her words, not mine).

Nice but maybe a bit big for me. Has anybody tried the P101 in GTO sizes with K2 MPSS?

As far as I know, nobody has even tried P101's on a 599, let alone in the sizing you're looking for. If you have the car and the interest then you'd be the first in the world. Here's a 599 that we did on ADV.1's just to show what the sizing would look like.

Does this setup work on a 612?

    Thanks.
