    Hi,

I have a challenge cleaning inside rear glass between stop light and glass. I could not believe it is not possible to clean. Went to the Ferrari and asked for input and help and they said with smile "it is Ferrari, it meant to be like that".
On my question "what I am going to do" they quoted to disassemble the back bench etc.etc in total $1000 bucks. I fall from my chair.... to clean the glass $1000 bucks??

    Any smart ideas please...

I've also noticed that it would be nearly impossible to clean... had nightmares about accidentally getting leather conditioner on the glass while applying it to the leather on the shelf. I'm trying to think of a possible solution, and really nothing comes to mind. There is literally no space between the leather covering the brake light and the glass. Perhaps if you could find a tutorial on how to disassemble the rear shelf, it could become a DIY project.

Looks like you would need to remove the rear seat and headrests and then remove that panel to clean. Here is what my early 612 WSM says. Same hassle if you had to replace those bulbs.

Replacing the auxiliary stop light bulbs
    • Put the battery master switch on OFF ( L 2.02).
    • Remove the central part of the rear parcel shelf ( M 3.04).
    • Undo the two screws (6) securing the wiring.
    • Undo the five screws (7) and remove the light.

    See attachment below for image.

    • Remove the complete rear seats ( M 3.03).

    Removing the complete rear seat
    • Undo the central screw (4) located between the seat and the seat back.
    • Undo the two screws fastening (4) the rear seat, then remove it.
    • Undo the two screws fastening (5) the rear seatback, then remove it by sliding it
    out from underneath.
    • Lever out and lower the sound-proofing part of the upholstery (6).
    • Undo the three screws (7) fastening the rear headrest, then remove it.

Removing the center part of the rear parcel shelf
    • Undo the two screws (7) securing the central part of the back-shelf (C), and
remove it sliding it towards the front of the vehicle, then detach the third stop
    connector.

Now you know why they want $1K, but not too hard as DYI, just painstaking.

Thank you for the details description of what needs to be done to get to the glass to be cleaned.
I noticed you have a reference to a 612 workshop manual? Is it available? purchasable?
Any additional advice would be highly appreciated.
    Regards

Could you not maybe slide a thing towel down there, or maybe something like a Windex cleaning wipe and saw it back and forth?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to get anything between the glass and brake light. Seems disassembly is the only solution, but i'm not sure i feel adventurous enough to attempt this DIY project at the moment. I'll update here if/when i do :)
