Need to replace the 4 year old Pirelli PZero mounted on custom 20" wheels. What brand should I use these days? Tires always progress and I would like to get some newer design ones.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the best street tires for Ferraris currently.

Can't go wrong with the Michelin Pilot Sports. I'm curious... anyone on here have Vredestein tires on their Ferrari?

I replaced the OE P-Zero with the Super Sports and it feels really good and also quieter. You won't regret it.

Michelin seems to get the vote, must admit I never went any other way than pirellis on mine.

Michelin's PSS seems to be the most popular tire in the max performance category. Has anyone tried anything from extreme performance like the Hankook RS-3, or any competition tire? I currently have 1 year old properly inflated Pirellis and can't get any traction in 1st and 2nd dances around as well.

I am also having traction problems in 1st and second. But my tires are old are almost done. You don't think the Michelins will help enough?

I'm hopeful but also skeptical, since the Pirellis have a 60 treadwear and yet spin so effortlessly. Are there any owners here who have Michelin PSS tires and can give some feedback?

Last summer for my GTB I purchased some HRE S101 wheels in 599 GTO sizes and mounted Michelin PSS in GTO sizes. MUCH more grip, feedback, and better ride.

I put on MPSS recently on my 599 and I have no complaints. Had them on my GTR and used them on the track and the street and did great for both. I think they'll last a bit longer than the Pirellis also. The Michelin is a great tire so you can't go wrong.

I replaced my Pirellis with Michelin PSS. Much quieter and longer lasting. But beware of sidewall bubbles.

Roupin- With a 599, wearing out the rear tires is not a challenge.

I have a set of 599 challenge rims to fit on my 612. They are 20", with a width at the rear of 11". The fronts, I think, should be 245/35/20 and both P Zero or Michelin PSS make this size. The rears on a 599 would be 305/35/20. P Zero are available for this size but not MPSS. The max they seem to make are 295/35/20. This is my problem as the consistent view on Ferrarichat is that MPSS is a newer and better tyre. So shld I go for MPSS 295's on the rear? My existing rears with 10" width are 285s.

    Anyone know the answer?

Use the 315/35/20. I just put them on my 599 with the same wheel set. Fit perfect, Awesome.

Affirmative, the 315/30 19 MPSS is the OEM tire for the 599 GTO and works perfectly for the 599, as well.

Biggest for a 612 with OEM 10" rear Challenge wheels should be 295/30 19, and those will work with the 11" 599 wheels on the 612, as well.

Are the Michelin Pilots longer lasting than the Pirelli P-Zeroes? The 612 seems to eat those for breakfast.

MPSS, no need to say anything else.

It's what all the Porsche Driving Event folks put on their cars.
