Hello, I am thinking to buy a 599 GTO sold by a FERRARI dealer in Europe (will be used in Europe), color ROSSO CORSA with the following options: RED BRAKE CALIPERS LEATHER UPHOLSTERY NERO 8500 (BLACK) FRONT AND REAR PARKING SENSORS CASCADE TELEMATIC NAVI SYSTEM INTERIOR 3D FABRIC COLOUR TESSUTO T3D1 NERO 4 POINT SAFETY HARNESSES ALL STITCHINGS IN COLOUR ROSSO (RED) 0504 FULL ELECTRIC SEATS TWO COLOUR PAINTING GRIGIO SILVERSTONE OPACO INSTRUMENT PANEL STRUMENTAZIONE COLORE GIALLO POWER WARRANTY 2 years 8500 miles (14000 KM) JUNE 2011 CCM used 5% front, 0% back Clutch wear 11% All documentation, manuals and maintenance by same dealer Price 425.000 USD Enclosed some photos, leather seats configuration is not that common for 599 GTO. One of the reasons I would like to purchase this car is to enjoy driving a FERRARI without losing money on it it seems 599 GTO prices are not going down, even slightly going up in my opinion. I also hope SA APERTA price evolution (over 600.000 USD today) will support prices of 599 GTO that could go up in the future. Your comments and advices are more than welcome, to finalize or not this purchase. Thanks in advance. If they had all the stuff on your previously posted checklist then I would buy it. Mileage doesn't bother me and I like the 2 year warranty. If you love it then get it. It's a car so more than likely your gonna lose money but it's an awesome car so who cares.
I bought your twin on Thursday. Won't have it for a week so these pics from dealer website. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like your car. If you are in Pittsburg area do you change speedometer? IIRC the speedo was in km since it was Canadian.
Oh that's just great, one less GTO in the Great White North… Well, I hope Duffy will take good care of it. Was it from the Toronto area? FWIW, there was also an Aperta at the Toronto dealer a couple of months ago, very low mileage. It went very quickly. I think the problem with buying these cars with the intention to either make money or not lose money on them is that if you like driving cars, you will likely not drive such cars as much as you would like to. Hypothetically-speaking, while I prefer open top cars, at near LaF prices I would "settle" for GTO + a California and $change$ in a flash. And if money were of no object, the Aperta would likely be relegated to special occasions and showcar duty in a stable of Fcars.
Very nice and very rare to see the seat inserts are in leather not alcantara or 3d fabric. I also like the carbon fiber rocker panels. For the mileage, this car was listed lower than the rest of the pack. Is this because it is a Canadian car? Also, since you bought it from a US dealership, you did not have to pay additional import tax compared to buying it directly from a Canadian dealership? What would be the cost to convert the speedometer to mileage and is this necessary in order for you to register the car in your state?

I think you can not go wrong with a classic color combination like this one. The clutch wear is low considering that it has 8500 miles (probably mostly highway mies). The 2 year power warranty will give you a piece of mind after purchase and consider it as an additional incentive to buy this car. Price wise, you are getting a fairly good deal considering that most of the US cars are around 500k asking price (even more for very low mileage car). However, most US cars are less than 5k miles except for the black one at FoNE with around 6500 miles, which still has asking price of around 500k. This car is definitely a keeper in my book, not like the F12 which will be like the 599 GTB in a few years.
I finaly changed my mind, and might buy this one but will definitely repaint the wheels to grey. Please let me know what your opinion is ! Great option list. Beautiful car. It's a shame you have to put that front license plate on it. I'm lucky to live in a state in the US that does not require it.
