Just added this red 2008 612 to my garage today. Great condition and has only done 6000 miles. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The wheels look like they are from an early base model. Definitely not HGTS or HGTC. Pictures are not clear enough to tell if it has the sport exhaust or if there is a manattino on the steering wheel. Regardless, congrats on your new 612 and wish you many years of enjoyment. They are all excellent cars; regardless of year or options.
OK - thanks for those great pics. Beautiful car. You appear you have a "transition" car: First generation model with the innovative Bose entertainment system, phone buttons on the wheel, and display / mode buttons on the dash. These were typically 07 or early 08 models that came with the Bose system. I have an 07 w/o the Bose system. (07 Models also had the 60th Anniversary placard). Generation II cars came in 08 and have the upgraded transmission with Manettino and Engine Start buttons on the wheel. You can usually tell if its a base or HGTS / HGTC model by looking at the exhaust pipes. If they are double-walled, you have the later, which offers faster F1 shifting, tighter suspension, sport exhaust, ceramic brakes (HGTC only), and 19" sport wheels & tires all around. Your car appears to be the base model, which is just fine. Wishing you many years of enjoyment.
Andrew- Affirmative, 08 without the glass roof would be built just before the OTOs came out in late Spring 08. Also, the OTOs came with CCM brakes, and those will not fit the 18" wheels on the front of Tarek's 612. The manettino was not introduced until the OTO, except for the 60 Sessantas built in 2007, which were essentially OTO prototypes with all the OTO features. The HGTC/HGTS packages were not available on the late 07 and early 08 612s because of a major upgrade to Motronic 7.3.2 in late 07. The two handling packages became the HGT2 package with CCM brakes as a separate option until the CCMs became standard on the OTO. Complicated history around late 07/early 08 for the 612.

Do all u americans buy cars that did 1k miles per year in 6 years and then sell them after 6 years after doing 1k miles per year ?
He is NOT the only one I've read in this forum buying this kind of mileage car. I mistaken his country, indeed, but it's a common behaviour
Many of Americans do! I laughed at the OP's post "addition to the garage." Here's hoping the vehicle will spend very little time in the garage as such is a waste of passion! Drive that beauty!
Ahahahaha. You should come to Portugal. You really can spread the legs of your Ferrari there. Enviado do meu iPhone usando o Tapatalk
Ricardo- I think that calls up an unintended image of a Ferrari with her legs spread. Next time you might try "stretch her legs". And not to worry, your English is excellent and way better than my Portuguese (none). Some colloquial phrases just do not translate well from one language to another.
