Took some pictures of my dad's Rubino 612. Note the only mod... A black grill. The original grill was missing some of its "teeth." Enjoy! Grill mod looks very nice. Really emphasizes the Ferrari logo. As always, Rubino looks great on the 612.
Thanks everyone. We've actually been thinking about challenge wheels, but the stock rims actually look a lot better in person. Really was curious to get opinions on the black grill.
challenge wheels are great but nothing wrong with an early car on its original wheels esp with a rare and stunning colour like this.
I can only assume it's because the body style was unappreciated so more subtle or reserved colors seemed more appropriate at the time? I wasn't around then so just guessing. It's a shame. Rubino is "the" perfect color for the 612 in my humble opinion. Makes me daydream over keeping my 612 and spending $20k on an inside out color change.
You know, if you want to change color in a "SAFE" manner, you can always take the WRAP route. This new technology has allowed for extraordinary potential with low risk. Plus the cost is much less than painting and far more durable. Many people are pursuing this option and can even do cool things, such as matte black, etc. All the while, your original paint job is safe and protected. You do have to replace the wrap after 5 years; but, that just means you can try something else with, once again, low risk. 7 Reasons Why Wrap Your Vehicle vs Paint
Just a stunning color combo. Really makes the 612 look very rich and mature. I've always been a fan of the Ferrari chrome "grill" but this mod looks just right with Rubino.
Why would you post a negative comment when someone is showing his family car that he is very proud of - typical negative poster in a positive thread
Beautiful! Having owned a 612, I loved it then, and the shape continues to grow on me each time I see one. The 612 is simply an AMAZING car! Enjoy!!!
Great car, looks fantastic! One observation from the interior pictures, it appears that you guys have floor mats that are likely from Westwind. I just ordered the same mats from them (received them yesterday in fact) and was surprised to see (as shown in your pictures too) that the passenger mat is much larger than the OEM mat and actually covers up more than just the horizontal (flat) surface of the passenger foot area but also the inclined surface where the OEM aluminum footrest is installed. Wasnt' sure why they make the mats like this or what people think about this look. All the other Westwind mats seem to match the OEM sizes. Thoughts? Should I send the mat in for modification to OEM size or does it look better anyway to allow the mat to go up further (like most cars do)? One issue is the color match is not perfect (as in the pictures in for this car as well) so it might actually look better to have the mat as shown here.
