Agreed- nothing crazy about selling. I love the 599 but its not like you couldn't find another one in the future.

Crazy. Can live in your car but can't drive your house.

    Just kidding.

I'm ashamed to say I did that as well a while back. The drought was tough, but eventually another Ferrari would find its way to the new garage.

A bidding war with offers over asking price on my home in SF would help!

I sold my f430 a few years ago over business concerns. It happens. Funny how being without a ferrari once you've owned one makes some of us feel so down. But I get it. Went through the same thing.

Not crazy. In general, your home is a much better financial investment than a car. Over a 20 year period of time your home will likely be paid off and will have doubled in value (maybe more). The 599 GTB is a depreciating asset, particularly if you put big miles on her. I'd sell the car and buy the house. In a year or two you can revisit the issue of another 599 or whatever. I also know very successful people that have sold their residences and just rent. They put their money to work in other places like the stock market and income properties. Even if you told me you had a GTO (a theoretical future appreciating collector car) I'd give you the same advice as you can't live in a car.

Homes don't always go up either. You can always sell a car if you need to. Not true with a house. Cars and houses are consumption IMO. A house might appreciate and it might not. Selling one can take a long time if everyone is getting when you need to.

I never make decisions based on a GF's preferences. They come and they go LOL.

IMO… House is the 1st priority second others such as cars and other luxury things while girl friend is always parallel….

It's time to sell this car. Girlfriend will soon be out of the picture. I made an offer on a home today!!!!! So I wanna sell it! And I'm tired of driving a "cop magnet." Speeding ticket today for doing 39 in a 25 and I had NO IDEA it was a 25….I was just matching speed to the car in front of me. The officer pulled in behind and matched our speed and wrote me up after pulling me over having followed for 1.5 miles! Serious inquiries only by PM.

Sorry to hear that you have to sell your beautiful 599 GTB. However, sometimes you have to do what is more important. Anyway, GLWS.
Btw, I would think that your red scud would have been a more "cop magnet" than the white GTB. :)

Don't need to sell it…its a choice. If it doesn't sell then I would not be disappointed. But I'm willing to let it go. Not done with F-cars though! Maybe a little 328 for weekends?!?!?
