Good morning, hope all is well for you. I am aware of the fact there are TONS of threads on here about tire selection so I am not trying to start another one. Just looking for fellow owners opinions as to the rear tire size they have, if they are using MPSS tires, on their 599 Challenge rims. I am switching from Pirelli to MPSS and am not sure if I should get the 295/35/20 or the 315/35/20. Thank you in advance as I look forward to hearing back from ALL of you!!

I have 285/35ZR-20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport XL tires on the rear and 245 in the front on my Challenge wheels on my 612.

LOL - I don't know entirely about the more recent F-Cars, but the older car's speedometers were terribly optimistic. :)

Why do you want to use challenge wheels from a 599? Why not use the challenge wheels originally spec'd for the 612?

599 rear wheels are 11" wide rather than 10" for the 612 version.

Yes, the wider rear is why I went with the 599 Challenge set.

Andrew- OEM is 285/35 20, so why would you fit GTO size tires and create more understeer? The 315/35 20 tires work great for 599s because OEM size 305/35 20 MPSS are not available. For 612s, either 285/35 or 295/35 tires would work fine. The 295s should not push you to too much understeer (pun intended) if you just want a bit more rear rubber.

I currently have the spec HGTS 19" wheels with 245/40/19 Front and 285/40/19 rear.

If I were to upgrade, I would probably go for 21" in the rear and 20" in the front. Not entirely sure which tire size I would go with at this point, but I know other have done it successfully.

My car already has the 20" 599 Challenge rims on it. And the rears are the 305/35/20 Pirelli P Zeros, and I have NO issues with understeer. The car drives perfect. The only reason I'm even discussing tires is because it needs them. SO - i'm not concerned about the increased size above the original factory tire size, was just wondering if any forum members had actual experience with this same tire decision.

Andrew- Looks like you would be the first. The other owners I have seen on here went with 285/35 20 or 295/35 20, both of which are perfectly happy on an 11" wide wheel.

Hi Andrew, I have the 20' 599 rear with 315/35/20 MPSS and it looks and drives perfect.

Sorry, I've been to lazy and keep forgetting to take a photo.
