    The 612 offered it with the OTO and Sessanta-- it was an option. Works fine, just like any other cruise control.

    Was it not offered on the late 599s?

    IMO, the only cruise control you should ever get is the new distronic cruise, which not only maintains speed, but also prevents you from running into something.

    Most people instinctively take their foot off the gas, when approaching traffic, that does actually slow the car down; with standard cruise control, that does not happen and often leads to an accident, when the driver engages the brakes too late.

    Adaptive cruise (distronic) solves the issue - usually.
