    Hey guys,

If contemplating 599 challenge wheels with the 11" rear wheels for a 612, what tires would you use? Specs call for P305 but if you want to run Michelin Pilot Super Sports, would you run P295 for P315? Will either work? Michelin doesn't make the P305.

    Thanks!

And they will fit with no problem? And no massive understeer as a result of being sooooo wide in back??

    Thanks.

I just ordered the 315 MPSS rear for my 612 with the 599 Challenge wheels. BUT, i'm also increasing the front to the 255. Which is the recommended front and rear set for the F12.

Chances are you'll never push the car hard enough on the street to totally overcome the front tire grip. Those who discuss understeer do so from track experience or magazine articles.
315 is not a huge bump up from a 305 anyway.

OK, so I should go with 255's up front then?

It's just personal preference. One size up doesn't matter. Members here have run 315s in back with either size up front, and nobody has reported back with any negatives.

I personally am waiting for my Pirellis to wear out to do the 245/315 MPSS combo on my car.

    Will 255's rub up front?

    That about these tires?

    ContinentalExtremeContact DWS(Ultra High Performance All-Season)

They are quite inexpensive and come is the 255 and 315 widths. Since I will never see speeds over 140mph (or likely lower) wouldn't these be a great option?

Or someone talk me out of them. They are half of what the Michelin PSS cost.

The MPSS 255/35R20 K2 Ferrari and 315/35R20 K2 Ferrari go together. They are the OE set for the F12. The 285/30R20 K1 Ferrari and 315/35R20 K1 Ferrari are the set for the 599GTO. The K1 and K2 rears do not share the same specs, albeit being the same size, i.e, K1 fronts for K1 rears and K2 fronts for K2 rears.

I am also using MSSP (245 & 285) on my 612 however no Ferrari Specs, don't think it's that important. Tires are awesome.

Is that a typo on the width of the rear tires? Don't you mean P315?

Yup, that's a typo. My apologies. 315 is the width. Part nr. and everything else is correct.
