There. Is a white GTO for sale with over 2,200 miles at Southlake Motors in Texas.

The "buy it now" price is $599K and I'm sure pun was intended!

As many of us on the forum have speculated, the 599 GTO is poised to be escalating in value indifference to a lack of general knowledge about the significant differences between it and the 599 GTB.

    Cheers!

First post as a new 599 GTO owner in the UK, been looking for 6 months and cars have either been overpriced or gone before advertised, managed to get the inside track on one and bought it within the hour, within 24 hours they had 4 serious enquiries at the asking price. Who know what will happen in the long term but can't see it being a bad investment and a great car to own and enjoy! Interestingly the one I thought was overpriced at £480 pounds! Looks like it has sold this weekend!

That is a very nice looking GTO. I don't know how the overall US GTO market is moving but I believe that the lower mileage cars (ie. all with under 3K miles) have been snapped up in the US. This new listing is at a higher asking price because of the low miles and original owner. My guess is that over the next 2-3 years there will be many fewer original owners left (except for the die hard collectors who just store their cars away in heated garages) and the 2nd generation long term owners will start to pile on the miles. Over time most GTO's will have many more miles on them and if they are still considered desirable I think those well maintained "original" specimens will garner top dollar (despite the mileage). I drove my GTO 75+ miles last week and loved every single second of it. Sure the value will drop as I pile on the miles, but I just can't help myself. The GTO is like a drug addiction !

I was able to acquire my second GTO earlier this week. The Rosso Corsa/Black has 426 miles and I will likely keep the miles off this GTO and drive the other one more freely. I'm expecting the car today or tomorrow!

Congrats on your 2nd GTO. It's amazing how you can find one with this low mileage.
Love to see pics of the two, especially side by side.

I'd love to know what the Foskers cars sold for. If it sold $475K BP = $770K USD for a 500 mile RHD example. New high water mark for a 599 GTO ?

There was also a private sale for £450k that was floating around private sale, if the fosters car was advertised at £480k then can't believe it went for less than £450k!!

I don't understand what's this game of buying them and selling them right after.

Houston and New England sold their cars. I know the buyer of the Nero Daytona and chatted with him yesterday at the dealership. He too has another beautiful GTO and wanted to keep mileage low one that one and drive the hell out of 6,300 mile GTO.

While at the dealership I was advised that the Houston GTO also was sold-so I was off my one and there are 2 left available to be acquired. The Miller Motorcar white with red stripe is not built the way I would desire and I have a feeling it may sit for a while.

To that end, and I know this sounds a bit greedy :) but I would buy a 3rd GTO if it has 4-5k miles and I would then sell my F12.

I just flat out LOVE the driving experience of the GTO and at the same time I would like to treat my 2 other GTO's as pieces of art--which they are in my eyes. If anybody knows of a GTO for a private sale, PLEASE pm me.

    Cheers!
