Was wondering if anyone here can verify how many 612 Scags were made with 3 pedals? I did not do a search on this so if it had been discussed my apologies. Thanks
There are "special" members is this forum who keep a very formal list of rare Ferraris, including their VIN numbers. Hopefully, one of them will chime in. From what I understand, about 10% of the 3,000+ Scags were manual. Hence, about 300 or so. The percentage is far less on F430 and 599 models.
Adam- 10% is a good estimate for both the 612 and F430. Probably about half that for the 599, or even less. We know there were 3025 612s built, but I have not seen good figures on the F430 or 599 yet. My estimate on the latter would be around 4000-5000.
There are probably 1500 or so three pedal F430s. There were at least 257 RHD UK F430s. If there were over 300 three pedal 599s total, I would be surprised.
Well I have researched the hell out of this, having bought both a three pedal 599 and three pedal 612...... and every (intelligent) resource pretty much comes to the same conclusion which is that there are 50-75 three pedal 599s, 250-300 there pedal 612s and roughly 1250-1500 430s (coupes and cons combined).
Andrew- And nobody has any real numbers except for total 612s at 3025 and UK registrations for F430s showing 15.7% three pedals, 296 out of 1874.
What about RHD manual 612's? Now that is a rare car. I was told that no manual cars went to Australia, one to Singapore, but maybe as many as 12 or so to the UK. But it is so difficult to get accurate info, would Ferrari themselves ever publish these figures if asked? Where would you start?
This one was on eBay a week or two ago... not sure if it sold (Willhoit doesn't update his site very often, but usually posts cars for sale on eBay continuously until they sell). If it did sell, I wonder how close the sale price was to the asking price. Perhaps values of manual 612's are higher than I realized? Willhoit inventory Porsche, Ferrari, Sports car
Nice looking car and love the stick but does it look lowered? Seems weird for a 612. Maybe its just the angles of the pictures. Seems like a high price for an early car with "a lot" (in Ferrari land 20k miles is a lot but I don't think its a lot). Anyway if the car is legit, its hard to argue against TDF/ Cuoio and stick and 4 seats- bring the wife and kids!
Look closely..... theres a third pedal!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Willhoit car was built in CY04 and even has the 50 Years of Chinetti and Ferrari in the US emblem.
The lower skirts were painted to match the body... I think that may be what is making it look lower than stock.
My friend manages a blog for Italian cars for sale (also manages German Cars For Sale Blog), and I helped him a bit with an article on this particular 612... not sure if we got the production # info correct for the 6-speeds, but here it is if anyone is interested in reading: Classic Italian Cars For Sale » Blog Archive » 2005 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti 6-speed manual

All you need is the VIN. If the last letter in the VIN is a D, she is Australian market, if a C she is UK spec. Incidentally, not directly relevant, but no three pedal 575Ms were imported directly with Australian specs. All were F1.
