How many of 599 GTO stick shift have ever been made by Ferrari ? Some say 3 only ?!
Special order. There is one for sure, and apparently 3 total. Only think I don't know is why go through the trouble and expense of ordering one and seemingly never drive it? Everyone has a smartphone these days, so surely when it's parked up at times someone would snap a pic...
Factory owners literature is quite clear that the 599 GTO was not made in a manual as part of the run of 599. If there was a "special project" GTO made with a stick (possible, but speculative) I've never seen a legitimate photo (how would one corroborate it isn't photoshopped without a VIN and factory confirmation) of one let alone see one in person. Not saying it doesn't exist, just that if its sitting in some billionaires underground private collection how can one verify its existence ? Been speculated about on Fchat for years. A stick GTO would certainly rank up there as the penultimate unicorn.
Toolfan I think has posted he's seen one in a private collection, so I think we can say there is no reason to say it's only speculative.
Yes, I think someone else also confirmed at least one or two were made. Unfortunately there have been zero pictures thus far..Hopefully they will come to light at some point!
I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few stick shift 599 GTOs.. Id prefer to have the Aperta in stick....
