599 GTB Pricing?

That's the top of the retail market for 2007.
CNC has my old 2007 that was loaded to the hilt ($346k MSRP) with less miles at low $160K.

My guess is the car is worth about ~$155k retail. I picked that number because it could be 160-165 if its "gotta have it" or it could be 145-150 if you are just "blah- nice to have if I can get an amazing deal"....

Keep in mind if it truly is 155k retail, it means if you want to move on, wholesale you're looking at something like 135-140. And unfortunately, these are still depreciating.

So thats all the bad news. The good news is these cars drive great!

 

I heard about mechanical problems in the pre-2008 models too

 

I've heard about them but I have not experienced them in nearly 8 years & 20k miles of ownership. Not a one. The only problem was a front parking sensor got nailed by a pebble.

The estimate for the 599 six speed at RM next month is $200-275.

Based on this discussion the auction estimates that a manual is worth a $100K extra.

Is that really possible ??

 

Looking back over the past year, anything is possible at a well publicized auction but is it "worth" that kind of premium? Not in my mind.

 

Less '08 and '09 are available cause they are better. People sell the old and problematic, not the good.

Could it also be there was a rush to get as many cars out due to high initial demand and then we have the little matter of the economy going bad...

 

We'd need to have the datas of how many 599s were produced per year.

I have a well optioned 2008 599 with just over 11,000 miles. My local Ferrari dealer just called me and said he has a couple of buyers for a 599 and wanted to know if I was willing to sell my car. He was willing to pay $130k and was going to sell for $145k. So I would say the car you are looking at is overpriced.

Go for a 2008 or later. The extra money spent will be well worth it and will pay you

If full HGTE conversion doesn't matter to you, an '07 optioned with CCB's is exactly the same.

I have an 07 with CCB's and have had no major issues other than paint issues. Hopefully this year will be another great one!
