Hey guys, I need your help!!!!I am on the verge of purchasing a 599 gtb, but having a difficulty deciding between two colors. Red or yellow? I know you are thinking " it's strictly a personal preference and there is no better color". I would love to hear your opinions on this. Thank you in advance!!!!

I personally love the look, but you'll have people tell you the car is too big for yellow.

Interestingly enough just had this conversation yesterday over a two hour lunch and beers. Yellow gets you more attention. A yellow 360 owner said.

A number of owners (430 458 599) have commented on the difficulty selling a yellow Ferrari. Rosso Corsa by comparison is much more popular and that shade of red looks wonderful in person!

Giallo. I really don't like the RC used on the later cars. The Glasurit FER300/6 was an amazing RC, but the PPG used on later models? No thanks, way too dull and "milky". Also, RC 599's are a dime-a-dozen. They might be somewhat popular come time to sell, but you'll have to compete with a lot of other RC sellers. The Giallo might be worth a lot to the guy who wants a Giallo 599.

    I'm not sure I've seen a 599 in Yellow. I'd think red for a 599!

I think Giallo better suits Mid engined V8 powered Ferraris.

Red is better for a GT V12.

But Giallo Modena is a LOT Rarer (More rare... not sure about this word) Than Red.

If you wanna stand out of the "crowd"...

I have a yellow 512 BB and a red 599. I love them both. I don't think you could go wrong with either color. I have not seen a yellow 599, but The 275 GTB looks great in yellow and it has similar lines to the 599. I saw a yellow 275 with blue medio seat with black daytona accents. The car looked great.

Arguably some cars look better in certain colors than others. And being Ferrari folks we here are used to seeing red on these cars, so it doesn't impact us as much as the casual observer who would be taken by either red or yellow- which is why I was taken aback by the yellow pic above

The car is Great, you won't be disappointed with any choice ;)

I am unfortunately not in a position to buy a 599 right now but I am totally in love with the 2007 in Rubino Micalizzato at Ferrari SF. I want that car so bad.... Otherwise I am not much of a yellow car guy but then again I never had a red car until my 360 so whatever you enjoy you should get.

I had a GTB in Silverstone and it oozed class, IMO the GTB's character is much better suited to more complex metallic colours. To your question however, I saw a GTB in yellow and found it curiously impressive. But RC sadly does nothing for me on a GTB.
