    Hi!
    I own a 2008 Ferrari 612 (latest version).
    I've been experiencing some problems with both, the GPS and Bluetooth devices which came originally with the car. I believe the manufacturer is BOSE.
    The thing is that although they work fine, they are not up-to-date and I haven't been able to use them with new smartphones (in this case Samsung 5) and I cannot download and install any map updates either.
    Is there any way to solve this?
    Are there any options (or kit) to replace the original ones and install a more recent version of a GPS/Bluetooth device?

    Map updates are available-

    And given you have bluetooth- Can you be more specific about what's else you find deficient?

    yes please where I can find the maps upgrade to europe?
    for the bluetooth don,t find my samsung S5, but also not find the iphone 5 and 6, in my opinion the system don,t work with the lates phone models, and I don,t arrived to connect

    Hello!

    My experience with the Bose unit:
    - Bluetooth: works with my iPhone 3GS, 5s and 6. Never tried with android devices;
    - music play w/ apple interface:
    -connects and plays music with my iPod nano 2008. However iPod doesn't charge the battery (??)
    - doesn't connect with my iPhone 3GS (??)
    - doesn't connect with lighting connector iPhones (5s and 6)
    - navigation:
    - not the most ergonomic and logic interface
    - maps to be updated - is it possible?? How??

    I read some of the connection issues can be solved with a new firmware. Maybe any Ferrari dealer might advise. To tell you the truth, I never asked.

    If you mean it won't play music over bluetooth, that is correct-- the Bose system doesn't support that. I've had no problems connecting my iPhone 5S for phone calls.

    Amazingly enough, the iPod connector in the glove box more or less works with the 5S, if you put an adapter on it. I'm thinking of getting rid of the connector altogether and seeing if I can just put a simple aux connector on it.

    There are also bluetooth music adaptors which will connect to that connector, I believe, and allow you to play music over bluetooth. I tried one, and it didn't work, but I think there are some which will.

    I use htc m7 and m8 android with no problems, and I use tune2air plugged into the cable to get music over Bluetooth. Only contact download doesn't work for me, everything else is good

    What about the new model specific double din radio/nav units that Ferrari is now offering through the dealer network to bring all of it's cars up to date

    Has anyone looked into those?

    There's another thread on that discussion

    My dealer is waiting for pricing and availability on the new double DIN units from the factory.

    Yes in spain my dealer explain me the same thing, how the BOSE can,t be upgrade, the factory prepare a new double DIN, and I they thing, expensive.........

    hello the ferrari dealer offer me a perfect solution, a clarion 2 DIN multimedia, the price? less 2500 euros, in few days they install in the car, I will show you the pictures......

    Your current car has the nav screen radio that was used through 2010 on all the OTO cars?

    If so, I'd especially love to see your reaction to the new unit vs your old one

    hello yesterday after 2 days the ferrari dealer call me with the news, the clarion system don,t work correctly in my 612 latest series, the interface with the car is not ready......
    the solution? live the dealer with the old bose system.
    for the moment there are not solution, news in the next weeks.......

    Which year is your 612?

    I have a Gen 1 612 and am considering the 1-DIN Clarion version, as I don't like the way the 2-DIN versions fit on the 612.

    in my case the problem are the interface of the actualy navigator with computer screen from the car, if is not conected there are many malfuntions and the new clarion can't be connected for the moment.
    ferrari try to find a solution and me also with the another engineers, in few days more can be a solution?

    So the new offering from Ferrari will work on later cars, but not earlier ones?

    not in my idea the system work with the first series cars, not with the laters my car is a one to one, very last 612 series.
