One of 5 in the USA. I don't believe these are street legal. Correct me if I'm wrong. Love the knock-off wheels... Makes a 599 GTO look like a boy-racer. Ferrari 599 Base Coupe 2 Door | eBay
Wow, never thought I would see one for sale on Ebay. Awesome car, pretty sure it's not street legal in any Country.
Who cares about the one of 5? This car is not street legal so you can import any of the others on a bill of sale, cant you? It's overpriced IMO since FXX sold for $1.6m in January..
Not street legal, but incredible track cars. You can think of them as very similar to the GTO, which is basically a street legal version of the 599XX. Awesome care for track nuts and probably worth the price if you know what your doing and have access to races involving XX cars: 599XX, FXX, FXXK.
Amazing car and a little bit rarer IMHO than the other 599 XXs because of the absence of the Evoluzione kit.
The matricola plate on the dash shows the serial number, 170883, of a 599XX. But the full VIN listed in the eBay ad is for treynor's Alonso Edition 599 (s/n 186707).
Great spotting, Carbon! I suppose using an Alonso VIN is one way of trying to make the 599XX street legal...
I don't think it's malicious, merely a mistake. I spoke with treynor and he said it looks like they just copied and pasted the ad text from the Alonso eBay auction.
I seem to recall that this car belongs to the (in)famous Scott Tucker... As to the price, Andrew, the demand is there and prices have risen significantly in the past months.... January was clearly the low point on the FXX
I think it looks fantastic. This is the plan: buy it, then buy a cheap 599. Put street tires on your 599XX and the license plate from your other 599 on it. Get up early on a Sunday morning and terrorize your neighbors.
I heard stories of a Southern California owner who somehow put the VIN plate from his Enzo on his FXX, and drove it down PCH very early in the morning. Also heard he got pulled over.
