I can't find the one for the 612. Probably not available any more. It looks something like this - http://auto.ferrari.com/en_EN/wp-content/genuine-assets/en_EN/P000000033_en_Ferrari_California_Hand-held_fire_extinguisher.pdf
Yes, I have seen one installed in a 612 OTO. Passenger footwell, looked same as the 599 install. There is a video of a 612 doing a track session in Italy on YouTube, it shows it in that footage. The car had red interior. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yea, I'm sorry I didn't keep the info when I had it. I thought well I'm not going to track my car so why bother with a fire extinguisher. Then I saw f40carlo's thread - https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/612-599/493500-sad-saturday-r-i-p-faithful-612-a.html and I bought one, but it is kept in the trunk.
Hi! My 612 has it. It is obligatory in the Middle East. Fire extinguisher in a leather sleeve, on the passenger side.
Looks like this one has it (browse pics): Purchase used 2010 Ferrari 612 HGTE Low Miles! $383K MSRP! Loaded Scuderia Carbon Fiber Clean! in Chicago, Illinois, United States, for US $228,800.00
Awesome- Thank you so much! If anyone has a closer or better pic- Please clue me in as I'd like to get my hands on one of these... Thank you
I don´t have access to my car - it is being shipped. As soon I get hold of it, I´ll post a picture of the extinguisher- if no one does it before. Ricardo
I strongly recommend you to buy a fire extinguisher with Halon, or CO2 and not the original powder one. Check on Internet what damages can make the powder, if ever used it will ruin your car. I actually bought a Halon extinguisher, not harming electronics, alloys.
Thank You All for the pix and help My last question is- when you say it's the same as the 599 extinguisher- Do you mean the extinguisher and cover itself, or the mounting block as well?
Can someone with an extinguisher in an OTO car please take a close up of their extinguisher?? I'd very much appreciate it
If you are interested in purchasing one of these I believe that they are no longer available... We tried to purchase one for a Maserati GranSport through Eurospares, and although the bracket, bag, screw and leather sleeve were all there to be ordered, the actual extinguisher bottle was discontinued. It is a very tasty option and a real pity that it isn't available anymore, but I suppose you could always try Ricambi or the main dealership as Ferrari still offers it in current models.
I found one and the seller claims it's the same as the 430 bottle I wasn't sure if the bottles were red or just unpainted & polished- For this and other reasons, I wanted to see one up close
Moe- Did you look them up in Ricambi's online parts catalog to see if they were the same? The 599 extinguisher is still available and fits a wide variety of Ferraris and Maseratis. About 200 pounds sterling from Eurospares.
Taz- No I didn't think to try that, but will do- Good idea- Thanks! But I'd still like to see a pic or two if anyone can offer up any...
I just saw the close up photo above posted by D-F I guess in revisiting a past thread, I somehow skipped past it
They are still available through a Ferrari dealer has a special order ,I priced one for my OTO and it's priced in 3 parts ,extinguisher 236.00 , leather cover 174.00 , bracket 320.00 all in sterling + vat . I've brought a extinguisher for less than 20.00 same size and will make a leather cover to fit ,the brackets are around £40.00 from specialist performance car sites . Hope this helps
I'm pricing the parts now from a dealer with the matching leather. (I'm wondering also if I can convert the bottle to Halon) TT- Can you post a close-up shot?
