OK guys, I have my 599 up on a lift, I have removed the protective tray and now I am trying to get the stock cats out.

All bolts have been removed and I can wiggle the leading edge of the cats. However the trailing edge of the cats (closest to rear of the car) won't budge even after I have loosened the circle clamps. It is almost like they are fused to the portion of the exhaust that they fit into.

Any ideas for how I loosen that rear connection up? Also, I assume that once I do so I will be able to get the front edge of the secondary cat to clear the portion of the exhaust that it mates up to. Please confirm.

I'm *$&(@)%&*# stuck right now. All ears for any help pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!!

Disaster averted guys. Got one out after hitting it with WD-40. Second one will no doubt be easier tomorrow now that I am a shade wiser!!!

    Got it done boys!

Definitely louder. However, I am pleasantly surprised in that the throttle response does indeed feel a bit more crisp. Good stuff!!

Will your car still pass emissions without them?

Installed Tubi bypass pipes. No check engine lights. Shouldn't have any smog issues as the secondary cats have no sensors for measuring emissions.

Since I have Rob's car now, I can comment that between removing the secondary cats and adding the Forza Bypass Controller, the car sounds glorious AND my neighbors still talk to me. Sounds the way is was meant to be.
