Beautiful one in Rosso Mugello/Crema, about 6k miles, 2008 I think, at Maserati Ferrari of Ft. Lauderdale. Believe asking price is about $180,000. Ask for Benn, a really decent sales guy.

Here's a red / tan 2010, but miles a bit higher on this one. Newer car, well optioned and pretty good price ($157K) and seems to be fully sorted on the maintenance. Maybe you've seen this one already as it is in the classified section and belongs to an F-chatter.

Mike Sheehan has a nice low mileage one -- Rosso Corsa/Nero. With fitted luggage. Noticed the one in FL I had mentioned is no longer available.

I'm sure you've done your research, just curious why. There are maintenance items on the car the life of which could be measured in 10-15k increments, suspension mainly, shocks, ball joints/rods. The clutch should be fine at 30k miles. If the car doesn't have any deferred maintenance items and the interior and exterior are good, curious what the rub is. Might get an oil leak here or there eventually, I guess.

Thanks bud for the support. Something I've also learned along the way; modern FCars which are more user friendly with regards to maintenance are generally driven more & enjoyed in comparison to the older vehicles with belts. With that said, buyers do use the same principals of older cars when searching for newer ones. The criteria needs to be different.

If the OP plans to sell his car with in 5 yrs; then he should no purchase my car. In the next few years a few things will happen.

    1) Used F12 will start hitting the mkt more
    2) top tier low mileage cars will see the most depreciation
    3) dealers stand to make a killing on trade ins for guys who want to upgrade from 599 to f12

My car is the best optioned and services on the MKt for the price.

Best wishes in finding your car sir. My suggestion is to purchase a car which has between 15-22k miles. 10k miles or less is going to give you problems. But if you plan on keeping her in garage and not using her only to sell in 10 years - well then we know how the FCar world will love to snatch it up cause you will have a gem.

I don't think an 08-09 with 10k miles is going to give any more problems than one with 20k miles - in fact I would much rather buy the 10k mile car, even if it is to drive...

No such thing as an 08 HGTE, but there are 08s with HGTE retrofit packages fitted.

AGREED . now if it had 100 miles that would be a consideration...otherwise I would take under 10K miles anyway before 20K plus miles.... not sure I would pay a lot more for the lower mileage one ....

Beautiful car. Interesting leasing terms with a 60-month lease and a $75K residual which gives you an idea what they expect the bottom of 599 trade-in values to be 5 years from now, or they want to ensure the new owner ultimately purchases the car outright because the residual is deep "in the money" at the end of the lease making it more of a balloon loan with a walkaway option.

"Also with the HGTE Package comes updated electronics which allows the gearbox to shift faster in high-performance settings"

Remind me...is this accurate (its from their ad)?

Affirmative, the HGTE upgrade kit for 599s SN 156938 or later came with the HGTE TCU, and 85 ms vs 100 ms min shift times. Sometimes seen as 80 ms.

25,000 miles is considered "high mileage"??!

    Ridiculous...

Hi -- can you explain this some more. I'd like to understand this better and don't quite get what you're describing. Is the $75K residual a good indicator or not? Thanks. Frank

Yeah! Their plan claims to be great for those who trade cars every couple years. What happens to that downpmt??? It's like the worst financial decision ever! They tried to get me to do it just to get me into a car. Absurd.

Ultimately, you end up paying them anywhere from $15-30k more than their list price when it's all said and done.

We have a much better clue as to prices on any vehicle at anytime since approx 80% of the buyers are right here. They just want you so deep that yes, you don't have a choice.

Essentially, the way it works is that whatever the downpmt is and then your lease monthly pmt for the next 3-5 years would equal the price of the car - but then there's a buyout option. That's the gravy train right there for them! Pretty imteresting tactic & they also say they can keep you from paying taxes in your state. But still, the last step towards ownership is where you get GOT

If it were a true 6 speed manual(listed as a 6 speed manual on the link) it would be underpriced. Definitely overpriced with the mileage and the F1 transmission.

Photos show the subject vehicle is an F1, not "manual". The fact that its been for sale since January (and still is for sale) should illustrate that $193,000 is not a reasonable price (especially with 24,000 miles) and probably too much for any 2008 599 F1.
