    hypothetically.....
    if you had an f1 equipped car, and the gearbox failed, would you be able to replace it with a manual, or would you have to replace it with another f1 box?

    Theoretically, you could convert your car to a manual. It would require a lot of additional work and parts. Two ECUs, linkages, new throw-out bearing, clutch pedals, etc.

    Likely $40K ish plus the tranny.

    Ross- They use the same transmission. Only the shifter and clutch actuation and peripherals are different.
